Whyte vs. Rivas undercard, O2 Arena, July 20th. Not finalized, yet. Both were formerly major contenders in the HW division, but as of today only Chisora is ranked top 15 by a major org (and only the WBC, at #11). Interesting. Tough heavy-handed bruisers with decent gas tanks are the bane of the somewhat chinny and front-running Szpilka's existence. Chisora's primary weakness, meanwhile, is jab-forward boxers with the size to not be steamrolled by him - and he struggles a bit extra with southpaws. I anticipate no reason this would be scheduled for twelve instead of ten, as neither man brings any hardware to ante up. That is to Szpilka's advantage, IMO, however slight.
delboy probably, although he looked shite against gashi. szpilka probably outclasses for 6rounds then finds gasses. The Build up would be mental.
Chisora brutally KO's him. Szpilka has the most ridiculous habit of dropping his hands whenever he gets punched hard. It's the funniest thing. He did it again in his last fight against Wach; and it nearly cost him the fight. Szpilka better pray that Chisora is not taking him seriously and hope it´s a 10 rounder.
It would be farcical if they found some excuse to make it twelve. Neither has any business in an eliminator. You can't have one guy ranked 11 by the WBC and unranked by the IBF, WBA or WBO and the other abnent from all four organization's top 15 and call that an elim. I suppose there could be some vacant Silver intercontinental nonsense..
Chisora needs something to be angry at to show up. He needs a target. He needs a Vitali, or a Haye or a Whyte to get his attention. I question why he is doing this anymore. Good fight btw
Szpilka is prime and winning fights. Chisora is old and was just knocked out cold. Szpilka by decision.
Too bad Szpilka isn't much of a English speaker, Chisora would get badly punked out in the build-up!!
Depends which Chisora shows up, maybe an uninspired Chisora shows up and labours to a loss or a close win on the cards. But if this is on the Whyte/Rivas undercard on SKY PPV at a packed out O2 arena then maybe Chisora finds enough motivation to show up in decent enough shape to grind Szpilka down. Szplika doesn't have the power to keep Chisora from walking him down he'll need an out of shape Chisora to show up to have a chance of out boxing him over 12 rounds. My money would be on Chisora by KO in about 8 rounds, but I'm biased I'm a huge Chisora fan.
Chisora was horrible against gashi, looks like coldwell is trying to turn a brawler into a boxer and it just did not look right at all. If the Whyte version of del boy turns up he will knock out szpilka. But the one that fought gashi I'm not sure
