I cant see it. Joshua will keep chopping away at Ruiz but the longer it goes the more he will press. He is here to look good to Americans. A points win aint going to do it for them.
i have seen ruiz take flush shots from hamer and parker and he walked through them no problem but the problem for me is that he took flush shots bang on without riding them against joshua if he fights his normal fight /come forward/let his hands go /wide hooks and rights he will get ktfo dont care how good his chin is / it will get ground down i dont buy into joshua will try to impress and go for the ko i think he will box from range/ move his legs /potshot and jab / have a look and if openings are there he will take them and then step on the gas and get ruiz out of there ala brezeale type of fight i think ruiz will come to win and box his normal fight simply because i dont think his style is suited to a plan b / but this will play into joshuas strengths
Can’t see that happening. Ruiz isn’t going to box for the distance anyway. His game plan will be to knock Joshua out. If it’s not working he isn’t going to bother hanging around taking heavy jabs and body shots for 12 rounds. He’s a fat slob who’s got the money in the bank now. He’ll try to bang AJ out and he knows what will happen if he can’t land. He gets polaxed.
Likely has lockjaw from MSG, took some mean shots from Tor Hammer. If Prospect For hammer had his head in the game Ruiz would've been stopped. Rumors of Hammer, hammering foreign women in the lead up to this fight. Wilder would break turkey neck, panda body Ruiz. Ruiz has more chins than a Chinese phone book but has no chance vs AJ. Round by Round Ruiz will be in deeper water... By round 5 the shark will have chomped at the whales stomach. I think Ruiz will take a knee and rise at 10 and say "Awww come on I was up"
Whilst I am laughing and agreeing with everything you are saying I'm hoping it's not true and Ruiz is gunna bring the ruckus
The only way that happens if team Joshua sat down and convinced Joshua to look average but win every round and go 12 to get Wilder to even think about fighting him. lol In reality Joshua needs a knock out in his U.S debut and off of wilders 1st round win,so I really don't see Joshua not getting the K.O if he really wants one. Povetkin was a far more difficult fight and Joshua wont be waiting on that finish in this one.
To be fair to Joshua Ruiz is a actually a good boxer with quick hands in comparison to Breazeale, who has punching power, but horrible defense and is slow as molasses, so Joshua would be a fool to try and force a quick knockout on him, since Wilder himself wouldn't easily stop Ruiz.
Wilder doesnt have AJ's ability to set up the knock out. Breazeale didnrt wave AJ on to hit him either, thats what he did against Wilder ,and not only did that with Wilder AFTER two right hands but he dropped his right hand while standing with his feet in a narrow stance so the impact was severe, bc the there was nothing to brace him for that punch. If AJ goes after Ruiz its going to resemble a hurricane and I have yet to see anyone survive it when he puts in on ,that's why he has the most actual knock outs out of everyone ....and that's EVERYONE considered top ranked when he fought them. Ruiz can be a good boxer all he wants but its clear using the Povetkin fight which is similar style to Ruiz not Breazeale bc of the fast combos and defense while being 6'2 , what's going to happen here . Really Breazeale can still make a difficult fight with Wilder if he gets the fight to about round 5 ,and it would be very possible giving he wont be throwing left uppercuts anymore. lol Its no different from fury ,can anyone say the fight isn't about 50/50 despite who clearly won the rounds to get the win? Obviously Wilder would be a large margin favorite with Breazeale now ,but one shouldn't stray to far with puncher vs puncher with Wilder ever. When you match up Aj against Breazeale ,Molina he will always be able to coast .Wilder is not AJ, what ppl are also forgetting is AJ fights taller guys better, this is the 3rd short guy hes fighting in title defenses ,he should be ready much more here. If Wilder struggled with Ruiz it doesn't mean Joshua will. Trade places with them and have Aj fight Wilders title defenses what guy do you think will severly struggle more ?
Povetkin looked far better v AJ than Ruiz did in his last fight and he was in better condition, his hand speed was still there, he is still a top 10 contender, Ruiz is not.
AJ is better than Ruiz in every department, it`s a complete mismatch and he could KO him early by going to his soft body if that doesn`t finish him quick it will take the steam out of him in the later rounds.
