Pointless fight and more time wasted for the fans and Wilder's legacy (but not his bank account). Oh those golden days of December/January pre and post Fury/Wilder when we believed the fights we wanted were going to happen....
In what way was it a 'controversial fight?' Yes, Wilder was in trouble. But he dropped him three times and stopped him. Ortiz was an old man then and an older man now. I don't understand Wilder. He's one win away from being the unified heavyweight world champion and instead he's taking on guys he's already beaten or second tire opponents. Hard to fathom really but it's a blatant duck.
Spot on There was minimal amount of controversy Only thing i recall was the dubious ref/doctor check on Wilder
Ortiz has looked poor since the wilder fight. I believe he will fight kownaki next. What does whyte have to do to get wilder?? Ortiz has just jumped the que here. At least we don't have months of waiting for them both saying it could happen next. Joshua could fight fury in December which would be good. I can't see that either though.
Wilder is after that body so has gone for the old man. The last fight was as conclusive as they come. There’s absolutely zero need in this.
Means AJ vs Pulev towards the end of the year and Fury against another shiithouse as there is no chance he fights Whyte. HW boxing in a sorry state for the rest of the year.
Bored. The likes of Fury and BJS are just as bad...talk the talk but just want easy money via the path of least resistance. Killing boxing.
Audley Harrison currently back in training waiting on the call from Wilder as he gets round to mass repeat bashing of old faded opponents. Gary Cornish preparing a comeback just in case new puddings are on his radar.
