BREAKING: Wilder confirms Ortiz rematch, Sept. 28, Showtime PPV, Staples Center

If Ortiz KO's Wilder I will break a rib laughing.

 

How can Ortiz not be criticised. Dude ducked an AJ fight after giving it all the talk.

Wilder as we see has no intention to try and fight AJ. His actions show this.

 

That won't happen. Ortiz is 40 years old now and vs Hammer still looked like he's wide open for the right hand.

The first fight showed how uncomfortable at times Ortiz can be on the front foot. Wilder will do what he did first time around, be patient wait for Ortiz to lunge in and then land the counter right hand.

People criticise Wilder for his lack of boxing skills but he figured out Ortiz, he had him missing and lunging in with the double left jab and right hand earlier in the fight but didn't counter it, by the 10th Wilder had seen it enough times to counter it and hurt Ortiz and the finish him.

 

A PPV..?

 

I expect a repeat of the Stiverne rematch. Wilder will take out Ortiz early.

 

It's the next fight. I mean, Ortiz, then Kownacki.

 

This is why they wouldn't let him fight Joshua, he didn't have a choice. This is how this business works, no way they gona let Ortiz ruin the potential Joshua vs wilder fight.

 

The fact that it's a PPV means either:
a) Showtime are really desperate, they just can't afford to pay Wilder DAZN-comparable money;
b) Wilder is becoming if not a PPV-star, but at least a true PPV-fighter.

Let's wait and see how many buys it will get.

 

It's a good question but sadly I doubt the first fight will be in the UK. After that DAZN offer the US money has now grown too great to turn down.

They need to make up the losses on the Breazeale fight.

 

This here. You can see it coming from a mile off. They're gonna pay Ortiz to look bad cause he's an old man they can take advantage of at this point.

If they haven't paid him to look bad though...then they are in for a whole world of trouble.

I've personally had enough of the excuses now. It's beyond a joke. One way or another though, whether Deonkey and his crew like it or not...that belt WILL go to AJ.

 

If you had the choice of which fight to make, you’d make Wilder - Ortiz II over Joshua - Wilder? Nobody would do that. The Joshua fight was there to be made next and he’s actively chosen to make the second rate fight. That HAS to be criticised.

 

Dont Dont to see that fight, stiverne 2 repeat.

However if it's PPV then the numbers will expose wilder and his demands as absurd so we might finally see a Joshua fight if wilder/his team realize they have no business asking for 50/50

 

I think its more Uncle Al blocking it rather than a fear thing
