I'd have no issue with Wilder v Kownacki, but this rematch as I've stated a number of times is ****......

And how many people were complaining about the AJ - Takam stoppage? By that logic , AJ should rematch him and say “I want to make amends for this controversial ending” and it would be ok. Of course it wouldn’t be.

 

Some people (idiots presumably) also said Parker beat AJ, so that'd be a wonderful chance for redemption as well. And Wlad... don't forget about Wlad.

Exactly. It’s pointless to justify fights where we know the result. AJ beats takam, Parker and Wlad every time right now for me. Same with wilder, there’s no way he doesn’t beat Ortiz so let’s all stop pretending.

 

And he should, he just about took Wilder to the brink.

I do think he should've taken the AJ fight though, unless he was promised this rematch and a similar purse with obviously more time to prepare.

 

The caliber of fighters you need to beat to earn a title shot.

 

Would rather see him face Whyte, Wilder will probably KO him quicker in the rematch.

 

And yet Whyte is being told to fight Ortiz for a mandatory shot or now Fury for a mandatory shot. Seems different fighters are having to follow different standards to earn a shot.
