Yep. Now he refuses to fight Whyte because he has no interest to fight a bum. But then he fights Schwarz next. He is the biggest joke in the boxing.
Judge them on what they do in the ring, not what they say or what allegedly happens on the business side. Fury came back from nowhere and fought Wilder last year and most reckon he deserved the victory. Which is at least as good as anything anyone else has done lately, at heavyweight. On the other hand, he's set to fight Tom Schwarz in 2 weeks which is underwhelming to put it mildly.
Oh well, a draw with Wilder and a victory over old and slow Wlad would be highlights of his entire career. Talent wasted...
I think fury got a big shock nearly being knocked out last time, I expect easy fights from now on with him probably retiring claiming to be lineal champion for the rest of his life.
I think he should take major confidence that he got hit with 2 big punches off the biggest puncher in the division, got dropped heavy, got up and won the rest of the round...If that was me id be very confident in my chin/recuperation from here on in..He can be dropped, but these are big fit men, it happens !
Yep, hopefully Fury becomes confident and fights some top fighters. However, he probably will be past it soon due to unhealthy lifestyle so he should not spend too much time fighting bums.
Lets not assume anything yet! If Fury completes this five fight ESPN deal and has not faced Joshua, Wilder or Whyte then yeah everything the OP says is spot on. But I guess it's based upon his recent interviews in which he has said he doesn't want to fight Whyte for an eliminator, yeah he called him a bum but for me I took what he was saying to mean he's not interested in facing Whyte for an eliminator. Tbh tho Fury is starting to come across as a bit of a smug man of late after doing so well in building support and interest in his comeback. For me he's slowly undoing all that hard work atm and needs to focus on his remaining career and win big fights rather than banging on about linear, lineal bs!!
I'm not a fury fan so I don't know what fights he's been offered, I think he was offered a rematch with Wilder but he turned down to fight a unknown German yet he is still shouting on that he's the best.
The fact that Wilder, Fury and Joshua are not making the big fights at the moment, has very little to do with the boxers themselves and everything to do with the battle between the networks for the dominant position in the US market. The fact that ESPN snapped up Fury as soon as he became relevant was the biggest clue. They are being kept apart and away from risk at the behest of the promoters motivated by the fear, should their HW lose against either of the others, their position in the market would be badly undermined. Showtime: Wilder DAZN/Matchroom: Joshua ESPN: Fury It's the names BEFORE the colons which are preventing these fights, not those after. I'm amazed people fail to see this.... Until the dust settles and one or two of these networks sees off the challenge of the others, this so-called ducking will continue. Hearn marching into the states and declaring war on PPV and the traditional US networks was the spur to all this and when rich men see their revenue streams threatened they will protect their investments. I suspect it will take one of Showtime, DAZN or ESPN to pull out of the market for the impasse to be overcome. Until then I'm afraid the big HW fights will not be made. Why HWs? Because Hearn and Matchroom have one trump card.... Joshua. Neutralise him and you neuter Matchroom. DAZN bought Canelo as an insurance policy against being totally dependent on the success of Matchroom US. Blame the promoters and networks. The fighters have all been offered huge and - in the long term - unsustainable finances and are thus tied to networks. In taking these deals (and why wouldn't they?) the control of their careers lies in the hands of their paymasters.
