Fury was the one who declined the 50/50 contract offer so he could have a tune up with Schwartz.

Actions speak louder than worlds, any fighter who felt they were robbed and won comfortably doesn't stall on taking a rematch.

Kovalev thought he was robbed agaisnt Ward, he instantly demanded a rematch. GGG is another, Lewis vs Holyfield, the list goes on. Neither of those men hesitated to accept offers to fight immediately and neither of them were terrified they had suffered brain damage.

AJ can't win against Wilder, because he will not be able to take his punch, it's that simple. AJ had to go in survival mode against a 40 year old stiff Wladimir, Povetkin,Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker. What do you think will happen when he inevitably gets hit by the right hand from Wilder?

This is this the same over hyped paper champion who was getting knocked out and slapped around in sparring with head gear on against the likes of Okolie the cruiserweight, and the 19 year kid Dubious.

makes sense they're both feeling the pressure we will see if this really happens or just another stunt but why wait until 2020? anything to delay the joshua fight. 2 way rematch clause too no doubt. plus another bum fight in between, this takes us to 2021.

Laughing at all you people slating fury.

The man went to Germany, on the back of a win over Hammer where he sported a massive belly, and took the titles by out boxing the man that couldn’t be outboxed.

Comes back, loses about 10stone, takes on a midget and a top 100 guy, then (in reality)beats wilder, in America. On wilders terms.

Then he takes on an undefeated highly ranked opponent (WBO no.2 IBF no.9) and signs the rematch with wilder. In America again.

    What more do you want?

It’s a fight that needs to happen, but I’m guessing that it’s all PR at the moment, especially given the timing. Not to mention that his Ortiz announcement went down like a lead balloon.

Lol I'm not going get excited until Fury/Top Rank verify. Which if it is real I think Fury/Top Rank are holding off until his fight in 2 weeks to official announce it. How great would it be for AJ and Wilder to be at Fury's fight?

I wonder who Fury fights next if this is true as well. He not just going wait for Wilder next year. Hopefully Whyte but doesn't sound like it.

Lol been trying to tell y'all. Think Fury and Wilder trying to freeze out AJ. If Fury fights Whyte next the only viable option AJ has is Uysk and he isn't ready yet. Arum might have done this as well to make AJ fight Pulev next on ESPN.

Also I wonder if this makes Crawford vs Spence doable now. ESPN/Top Rank gets Fury vs Wilder and PBC/Showtime/Fox get Crawford vs Spence or vice versa? Arum has to do something to get Bud some legit Welterweight fights. All the legitimate WWs that can challenge Bud are PBC.

Oh but I thought Wilder would never take a rematch with Fury.

Again Wilder makes his critics eat their words.

Great fight and the only real event at heavyweight to look forward to right now.

Furys gonna be 100% for the rematch, no excuses. Gonna be a tough task for Wilder.

You know what else is true of those boxers you listed? They didn't come back from coke binges and ballooning up to 300+ pounds only to come back against two complete no hopers as tune ups for one of the champions in the division. Fury would obviously see it in his best interests to stall so he can buy himself more time to get into better physical shape. Outboxed Wilder despite the sordid lifestyle of two years prior and will be in even better fighting shape next year to put the nail in the coffin.

I'm not even gonna call u a simpleton like Galv, if there's one thing I've noticed with fanboys it's that their cognitive dissonance suffering azzes can't deal with facts.

So Finkel and Wilder couldnt sign Joshua contracts because of no date and venue and Finkel couldnt deal with Hearn trying to make the Joshua April date because he hadnt beaten Fury yet and because they only deal with 1 fight at a time. But now Finkel are happy to sign for fights without dates and venues and is even lining up fighters in advance. The ink isnt even dry on the Ortiz 2 contract and he has his next one signed up.

Finkel and Wilder have had a lot to say over the last 18 months and they seem to be contradicting themselves daily.

If true, then presumably there's a rematch clause? Definitely on Wilder's side, but maybe on Fury's too? It would make sense because even if Wilder got an early KO victory, there could be enough legs in the Staples centre dodgy decision to mount a case for a trilogy. That would be Fury 3 fights into his 5 fight ESPN deal, which could make things interesting if AJ were to go on and fight Wilder twice.

Also interesting to see what the WBC's decision with Whyte is. Although if they go by past performance they won't require a mandatory defence for another couple of years.

Embarrassing isn’t it. The hard thing is I hope Wilder loses to Fury and loses the money and belt. But at the same time Fury would be even harder to deal with for the AJ fight.

Also contradicts himself every 5 minutes and talks in riddles.

I actually hope WBC see sense call the Whyte mandatory after Ortiz next. Whyte decks him and gets to cash out against Joshua himself. Only one who’s taken on the tough fights and deserves it.

I do, i wouldnt hold my breath on them calling in a Whyte mando though. They just seem to do what the PBC want them to do in regards to Wilder and his reign. The funniest and cringe worthy thing about it though is the timing. Its just funny that they keep making statements just before Josua fights purposely trying to take shine or attention off Joshua and his lime light. Its really weak and pathetic moves that in the long run doesnt even make sense if the aim of the game is building up the AJ Wilder fight.

Spare me the sob story, we've all heard it before. Fury's binges and drug habit had nothing to do with his opponent. He's not the first and sure will not be the last fight to lose their focus and discipline in between bouts..

Ruiz Jr is a prime example, and no one is making a song and dance for him falling off the rails and coming back to fight Joshua. Fury knew he was being given a once in a life time opportunity to fight for a title without having to earn his way through the rankings after using mental health as a cover for his despicable roid use. In effect Wilder was doing him a huge favor

Fury and his legions of moronic sycophants are of the view that he made light work of Wilder issuing forth a schooling and was thereby robbed of victory at the hands of judges.

If this view was to hold a single ounce of truth or reality, then Furu would not need additional time and preparation to return to battle.

The reality is Fury, knew he lucked out through finishing the fight and has huge reservations about getting back in the ring. I suspect the backlash he has received for his ridiculous fight with Schwarz has forced him into reconsidering the idea of believing he will be able to get away with fighting scrubs for the rest of the duration of his smoke and mirrors career.

It may well be the case now that he's accepted his farewell cash out fight will have to come sooner rather than later. For it is well known that in a rematch he stands little chance of surviving without a corrupt referee cradling him through the fight

Great news this. But it also means that we will have to wait until 2021, at the earliest, to see a fight between the winner of these two and AJ.
