    I don't think everybody's crying.
Still, it makes more sense than crying over a Lennox Lewis opponent from 25 years ago, doesn't it ?

ruiz is not even qualified to challenge a ruddock level, this is the difference.

Nonsense. Phil Jackson has a championship ring for every finger.

It's just that forJoshua's debut on U.S. soil to be this guy is bad for casual fan's eyeball test. It appears to be even more of a mismatch than it really is, although there is a heavy favorite.

Well there really is no farce bc Ruiz is the only guy signed to fight AJ ,and Ruiz is still undefeated until he actually loses a legit fight.

Lewis CAREFULLY selected most guys on his resume as impressive it was .

That's the difference between the two, Joshua is looking to attack the best now not later. His win over Wlad already exceeds Lewis best win Vitali ,in a fight he didn't actually win outright.

People better pay REAL close attention to that when they downplay AJ but consider Lewis the greatest bc Joshua WILL not if , is going to surpass Lewis by a mile when all is said and done.

Until AJ actually takes a knock out loss people have to put on their brakes with the AJ criticism ,they are only going to look foolish .

I know one thing AJ will never run away froma rematch and retire on it.

    jackson was a dangerous opponent
he had a good left hook

reason ruiz is critisised and rightly so is because unlike jackson ruiz choses to be an athlete who is tubby and fat .
ruiz has talent / but every single layman in the world will look at him and see a soft /out of shape looking man who every laymon would say just looking at him/ even i could beat him.

boxing wise it does not mean ruiz is not a good fighter/ just everybodys minds eye of the heavyweight champ and whet they should look like is the polar opposite of ruiz.

it limits ruiz marketabilty no end and also makes it a no win fight for joshua/ no matter what happens tonight / to the layman joshua would not get any credit at all.

Tua was tubby and fat, did you consider him to be worse opponent for Lewis than Jackson?

    ?
tua was in shape v lewis / and was a known puncher and warrior at the time
trouble with tua was he was too short and from my memory of the lewis fight, lewis got tua`s respect early with a right hand , and it made tua reluctant to try to walk through lewis which was his only chance and he got caught on the end of the lewis jab all night.

jackson was in shape just it was a small hall low kety fight for lewis

i remember in the build up to the fight all american pundits saying the only phil jackson they had heard of was a famous american basketball coach.

me being from the uk / i had never heard of the basketball coach
