I don't know about that. If you were AJ, after that... would you be eager to get in the ring with Fury and Wilder? If AJ's knows what's good for him, he'd ducked the Ruiz rematch.
Cherry picking PICKEd the wrong Cherry !! Talk about picking the Poison one Kindda Karma for those Cherry pickers
Absolute congratulations to those who picked Ruiz here, I told everyone I know that he was a deceptively tough opponent for Joshua, but held back on saying that he was going to win. Completely thrilled that it happened, though, and I say that as someone who did respect Joshua as a fighter.
I'm a Brit and a big AJ fan but, I'm actually not entirely surprised he lost. He has looked vulnerable on numerous occasions as has each of the top 3 and Ruiz Jnr. Just fought the perfect fight. Stayed composed after the round 3 knockdown and took his chances as they presented themselves. Huge congrats to Ruiz and his team, a genuine decent bunch and grats to all you guys who called it right and made a few quid. I have my doubts that AJ can recover from this as his whole demeanour seemed strange, from the ring walk to the confusion in the corner between rounds, to the fact he didn't seem that bothered about losing. Sure as hell opens the division right up and have my doubts as to whether AJ takes or even wins the rematch. Just all very strange. No excuses, AJ just got a right beat down......wowsers
Those belts would be wrapped around the waist of Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter Jr. right now had AJ not pulled the duck and opted for Mike's surrogate son Ruiz Jr. instead. I'm pleased for ''The Mexican Oliver Hardy'' Ruiz to fulfil his lifelong dream because he seems like a very likeable chap and I'm also pleased for the good people of Mexico to finally have their first HW world champion. However, I see something in Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter's eyes and it's a look that all mortal men should be very wary of and he wants his belt ASAP and he's not going to stop until he gets it. I'm sure it would and imo this is exactly what the division needed. If AJs good enough he'll do what Lennox did and avenge his loss. This has to be a good thing for the division, maybe we can have some talk about boxing instead who's earning what from now on. Sounds like Hearn has his doubts about AJ now as he said it's not sunk in yet and some come back from this and others are never the same again.thanks for the vote of confidence lol
