AJ seemed humbled already, did he get ass whooped in sparring?

At least you admitted you’re the odd one out, because of course losing makes ppl upset, regardless of how much money they make. That’s a human thing.

He took that loss like a man and was all class. I don't know what people want. He's a good example as a sportsman.

Not necessarily. If you have a philosophical outlook and not much of an ego it’s also a human thing to be unaffected by ‘losses’. I’m sure Joshua lives an exciting, luxurious and meaningful life. It would be odd if he lost it over a sporting contest.
He also knows that it’s in his best financial interests to be a good sport in losing. Anyway I always thought that Joshua was a level headed guy who didn’t care about money/fame etc. all that much.
He has fun and he makes millions, to care that much about losing you need to be young/egotistical/care what others think. Guys who aren’t born into boxing don’t have it as their self-identity. Joshua will be fine and will move on after boxing, someone like Fury is going to struggle.

One of the dumber things I've ever heard.

Yeah, I'm sure AJ doesn't care at all that he lost his life’s work, championship, and legacy to a short, fat guy before the eyes of millions.

This, of course, is something Joshua is known to chase and care very deeply about. Barry Hearn has publicly stated that Joshua could become a billionaire from the multitude of sponsors and endorsements, something which is predicated upon Joshua continuing to win fights. This loss, from a commercial standpiont, puts a massive dent in that.

Even the interview before the fight with McCracken I thought there was a man who just doesn’t seem confident. Then ring walk happened and he looked beaten already. It’s not a major surprise given the stories we’ve heard of Joshua getting dropped numerous times in sparring

More experienced. Better feet. Joshua has a decent jab and a good strong right hand. Left hook. maybe Vlad. Vlad was not that great he was a big fighter who used that size, but he also fell a lot and was stopped by Corey Sanders not a great southpaw back some years back. He learned to use what he had.

This. If you compete long enough against good competition you’ll take a loss. People are too obsessed with blemish free records.

No but at the same time this is about money. My friend managed a fighter and I saw how he would turn down fights if they were not enough. It is about money and winning. But these guys will not go out there and fight for nothing. I don't think Joshua liked that he lost because he did not react, he just is realistic.

If you listen to him talking, hes a guy who prefers to weigh things up slowly, not emotionally, matter of fact, not gut. He doesnt overreact or say stupid things, he tends to shut it and weight it up.

This is reflected in his post loss actions - he keeps schtum about it but it will grow on him as he weighs it up.

In fact hes probably weighed up what losing would mean well in advance. You can see it in the way he talks that hes already considered different angles, he thinks of the future in terms of a flow chart of different paths that he knows can happen.

My guess is that he does this to compensate for a lack of ability to think on the spot, thats usually what over-meticulous planners do. Just like people with bad memories actually use their memory in clever ways in advance, in order to recall things.

    It’s a sport.

So you’d cry and get upset if you got beat up? I personally wouldn’t be upset, I think it shows a lack of pride and emotional weakness to act in such a wet way after losing a fight, but that’s just me.

Again who cares if it a sport? No grown man wants to get knocked out on national TV if he has pride. Just because you have no pride or respect for yourself means every other male has to be like you.
