He's said enough times if he ever loses its about how he comes back.

All the great heavyweights lost fights. In the long run it doesn't damage his brand, not if he comes back and smashed Ruiz to pieces. Big IF, though.

Most fighters lose around this time at 23/ 25 fights in..i did a thread on it awhile back. klitschko / Lewis/ Louis these guys are in that bracket to among a few others.

This is a fight he definatley shouldn't have lost,if he cant beat Ruiz in a rematch its really over as far as being top 3 guy.

Like Wlad ,I don't actually see this happening ,lets hope he doesn't lose like Wlad did in fights he shouldn't lose in. though not many.

Theres guys like Joyce, Usyk and even Wilder that pose more threat ,Ruiz is not one on that level and was lucky to not get stopped after he hit the floor bc AJ is a top finisher.

@AnthonyJoshua Never train in Miami ,focus on the fight not the night life.

Great analogy. Also ironic that AJ has the same impressive physique and nervous fatigue that also troubled Wlad.

I dont think Ruiz was lucky and lets not take credit from him. He was doing good before the kd and he kd joshua after he got up. He also stayed calm and kept fighting at his pace which is different from getting a one punch ko against a superior fighter. What he did was kind of waht jmm did against pac, he got back up and pushd forward to prove he wasn’t out of his league

Anthony ‘Zelenoff’ Joshua, the big stiff idiot needs to stop lifting weights and injecting steroids and start learning to fight tall otherwise we are looking at the Black David Price.

AJ isn’t cut from the cloth of Ali, Lewis, or Wlad.

They all valued legacy over money.

Aj is the opposite. Couldnt care about legacy. Already loaded. Can probably still make another 200 million if he wanted

Ruiz wasn't lucky after getting knocked down against the best finisher in boxing today ? O.K then, lol

Theres levels to the game, Ruiz didn't win more then AJ lost it for himself giving Ruiz breathing room by stepping back and not taking control of center ring. no smart bettor is going to favor Ruiz in a rematch just like they didn't with fury still being an underdog in the Klitschko rematch.

Ruiz still on slightly better then Parker level but Wilder ( he LOST to Fury )and AJ are the guys to defeat ,lets not let one fight get twilight zonish on us. lol

You see it often in fighters smiling and laughing. Think of Victor Ortiz.
Or Broner who is the opposite. He refuses the acknowledge his losses and shortcomings.

Under stressful circumstances, people react in the most nonsensical ways. Such as liars/thieves freaking out when they get caught.

AJ might not be bothered, but Eddie certainly is!

The way he’s talking, he sounds seriously pissed off at AJ. He will undoubtedly pressure AJ into the rematch before Christmas and is saying things like “if he loses the rematch. He’s out of options”. Guy is majorly pissed at seeing those mega fights potentially bite the dust.

Doesn’t Master Al manage/promote (control) Ruiz? If so, he’s going to pull out all the stops to protect his Golden Goose (Ruiz). With the public acceptance of split titles and the elevated status brought on by “being the man who beat the man,” Haymon will “advise” Ruiz to give up his individual titles over time to avoid dangerous mandatories. As long as Ruiz beats the fighters his team thinks he should beat, he’s going to make a LOT of $$$. At the same time, he will “prove” that belts aren’t really worth as much as Mendoza (WBA) and Sulaiman (WBC) think they are.

Because he knows his place now. A limited second tier boxer, who overachieved and now will fight bums to build his career back up and cache out against top fighters. If there are any.
