Hi guys as an Irish poster, i just thought id pop in and tell you all about how it was a close fight which could have gone either way.
I see a lot of people crying robbery but i can assure you like my american friends often say, it was a close fight that could have gone either way.
    Haters going to hate!

Katie in my opinion lost, i do hope for a rematch and if rematch occurs, then based on last nights bout it will be entertaining.

No hater hating here, just way i scored the fight.

I had a split disqualification. I have never seen so many elbows, forearms, headbutts and rabbit punches in an event. A month or maybe a year. How the hell do you judge that, but the belgian girl did finish stronger.

Not a hater by any stretch here, I respect her immensely hut she clearly lost this one.. Even Carl Frampton had her losing by a wide margin. She can regroup tho...

Taylor lost and she knew it, along with just about everybody that watched the fight

I think boxing fans use the word "robbery" WAY too loosely, but this fits the bill. I scored that fight live and I don't know how any reasonable, fair-minded observer could give Taylor more than 3 rounds, tops.

I'm gunna start by stating I am a big Katie Taylor fan. She is a warrior and I enjoy watching her fight.

That said she reminds me of Amir Khan in the sense that as much as he is in love with his own hand speed, Katie is the same with her flurries. She get's hit way too often and quite frankly lucky to not have faced anyone who could hit hard enough to put her down, unlike Khan!

She lost the fight last night. These types of decisions does nothing for boxing. If she boxed to her strengths which is speed, skill and work rate and NOT overstaying in the pocket she would win comfortably. Katie is not a power puncher but that's ok. I hope we have a rematch and I hope to see a smarter game plan from Katie coz I believe shes got it.

She lost to a 40 year-old traffic warden who weighed in at 130lbs for a fight at 135lbs. And this is the crème de la crème of women's boxing:lol:. Please get this rubbish off proffesional boxing cards.

NI fan here. I was very very surprised with Katie's fight last night. I've only watched 2 of her previous fights and while my impression was that she was very good, I didn't see quite what the fuss was all about. I was perplexed by her reputation and the build up because I just didn't see the extra special skills that the press and others "experts" saw

It was a great fight but however much is like to score it for my local fighter I can't get anything better than a draw for Katie on the cards and my initial scores had her down by 2

How did you score it gmurphy? I just can't see what rounds you could give her to get enough points for a win

How can they have a rematch? Low blows don't work in women's boxing.

it was a competative fight……...but persoon clearly won. but taylor is the hype Job with Money behind her, while mrs persoon is a full time Police officer doing this more or less part time. so in typical pro Boxing Fashion, the Money won and the winner lost.
