And that’s all well and good until you get knocked down 4 times against the opponent you’re overlooking
Eddie and McCraken need to be given credit, they have matched him brilliantly up until now to create a narrative that AJ was the best in the world. Under Warren AJs Ruiz moment would have come much sooner, Old Frank is a bit more wreckless with his matchmaking
Mr Frank W wouldn't tolerate that kind of insubordination from AJ's dad and the bloke would probably find himself having a sudden and mysterious 'accident' shortly afterwards.
If Joshua was with Warren we'd be looking forward to the unbeaten Joshua facing Chisora in a fight promoted as 'the acid test.'
Wonder did AJ hire Jordan Gill as his head chef for the camp, would explain why he shat the bed in MSG
A little like Lewis Rahman 1. He didn't just take his eye off the ball, he kicked it out of the stadium... Either that or the cartels spooked him!!
What I will say and I have said before is that the fighters themselves shouldn't be so quick to go to the USA as soon as a pound note is waved in front of their faces. Sometimes you have to travel to fight a champion or whatever, but if you are the champ defending your belts in the UK surely would be a wiser option. It's like if Liverpool were offered money to play their home games in Saudi Arabia next year, do you think they would accept that?
I dont think it's like that. Lewis came in fat, clearly hadn't trained and didn't adjust to the altitude. Wasn't he on the set of some film during camp? Joshua was definatley looking ahead though but that was a bad defeat.
Maybe there really was an issue going into the fight and perhaps AJ wanted to pull out but Hearn convinced him otherwise. That would explain AJ's dad going after Hearn like he did.
