Anthony Joshua as we now know him is comprised of many different components. He is a sports science experiment. He is modified and added to by all available space age protein shakes, training methods, recovery programs, and, let's be honest, substances that enhance athletic performance (you should assume all high level athletes are guilty of this or you are a rube). He is a bionic man of sorts; both physically and mentally. Every time he speaks he is clearly regurgitating the marketable phrases he was trained to say. Money, and lots of it has been poured in to create the conglomerate boxer we know to be Anthony Joshua. The question that has long plagued few, now, shockingly, plagues many: were they right to do this? Was this the correct raw material to start with? Is this yet another case of a certain market being too ready, too hungry for the next best thing that they turned a blind eye? Anthony Joshua lacks the required natural athleticism to be a great boxer. He can be very good, but he will never pass the eye test of those who know what they are looking at. A helping hand through the olympics and a billion dollar investment will not change the fact that he never had the raw material capable of being formed into the super champion he is billed to be. I'm never hoping for a specific fighter to lose, but the sensationalism illegitimately surrounding a fighter who was born in the right place had become tiring. True champions are born, not made.
What the **** are u talking about??? Beats Whyte, Klitschko, Pulev, Parker, Povetkin in 22 fights and u call him a disgrace, someone who looks like AJ and has a record of 1-25 is a disgrace but AJ certainly isnt
Having the body of a bodybuilder does NOT mean you actually know how to fight. That should go w/o saying.
He just has a lot of clank in his movement. If you have clank, you'd better be a tough, natural fighter.
No. Joshua is fighting in a manner that does not fit his physique. Outside of Tyson, Aj is the most physically gifted HW boxer I have ever seen. He is athletic and extremely strong but he doesn't use his strength to impose his will on his opponents. He needs to learn how to fight effectively on the inside, use his jab to push his opponent against the ropes, and break them down. If he learned how to use his strength effectively, I do not see no HW beating him. One thing I will say about Wilder is he sticks to his game plan. Wilder keeps his opponent at bay and launches that right hand because he knows that's what he is good at. Joshua should do the opposite. Joshua should work his way on the inside and break his opponent down like Mercer, Hagler, GGG, and Spence. Not everybody has the tools to be a great outboxer. You need to do what works for you.
Styles make fights. I still consider AJ to be a very talented fighter he just has to change his style.
