I would agree that Joshua belongs in their company.

But not at the apex of the sport where the ATG lineal champs reside.

You don't regard Sam Langford as an ATG? What the **** is wrong with you? Joshua is no where near his company.

He could. If this is his only reign, middling is probably right.

Suffering five knockdowns in seven defenses is pretty worrisome. Once a guy starts getting knocked around like that, it doesn't usually get better.

Read about him. He's a top 5 pfp fighter ever with over 100kos at HW, and he moved up from LW

I actually agree Joshua is a good ABC champ, but I'd comfortably have him over a fair few Lineal champs

In a nutshell, the most accurate summary of his career. Joshua is a good boxer, but nowhere near great and was a bogus world champion backed by clever marketing, protected against any legit opponent on top of their game. Last night we saw what happened when he went in with someone who wasn't washed up.

Lineal is undisputed or the man who beat the man. Wlad was never undisputed and never beat Lewis. For most of his reign, he was functionally the #2 in the division to his brother.

That's a wrongheaded hot take. AJs 6 successful defenses are a good quality in terms of historic comp. Better than the Chagaevs and Valuevs and Hayes who still weren't able to have nearly as many defenses as he did.

Excellent analysis regarding the mental drain. So much fame and fandom so early now in his career. That’s got to be exhausting especially when you haven’t truly tested yourself

Vitali was a clear top 15 ATG HW and has an inarguably better resume than many "lineal" HW ATGs. I'd be glad to do a deep dive on his resume vs Liston or Bowe or Patterson etc

It’s much better than Wilder’s run that is undeniable where it ranks I don’t know

Wins over WladKlit, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, and Martin.

He has a place in history regardless of what happens next.

The amount of people confusing his reign, with his career, is pretty incredible.

Cant really comment on his reign or career because his career is far from over. AJ could win the rematch and go on to unify the division.
