To the deluded who are of the notion thatJoshua delivered an uncharacteristic performance, I suggest you re-watch the Povetkin and Parker fights because Joshua fought exactly the same way, albeit against more tentative opponents who were intimidated by his size.

Povetkin was actually out boxing him and winning on points until father time took hold of his body and mind leaving him completely gassed and open for Joshua to finish him off. He also stunned him with a big shot in the 1st or 2nd round. Parker on the other hand had to contend with a ref who was hellbent on acting as a human shield for Joshua and seemed overawed by the occasion, by giving Joshua too much respect. Had he thrown less caution to the wind, he'd have been able to do the same job Ruiz Jr did, since he had the superior hand speed

In those fights Joshua fought overly cautious, was doing his best wladimir jab imitation. The difference is Ruiz wasn't fazed at all by AJ, took toe to toe with him and backed him up. Timed him and used his superior footwork to dumbfound him.

At one point during the fight, Joshua was pleading with his trainer to tell him what Ruiz was going to do in the next round. Which shows the lack of in ring IQ by Joshua along with the need to be spoon fed instructions on how to fight because as we've always maintained this guy is nothing more than a glorified bodybuilding meathead that has relied upon overwhelming his opponents with his oversized roided physique.

This only works for so long against agining fighters and tiny Heavyweights with faint hearts who become overwhelmed by the size difference,

Ruiz wasn't having any of it and stood up to the bully. Essentially he bullied the bully and made him quit as that's what bullies do when their victims stand up to them.

Um Joshua got beat by a smaller guy. You know why? Because you don't need to be a certain height to be a heavyweight fighter. You need to be a certain weight. But I agree with everything else you typed.

    :deal:

All the fanboys failed to realize... with every recent opponent there was a clear as day to anyone who wasn't brainwashed, slow chipping away at exposure of every flaw I've ever said AJ had. Wlad showed his chin and gas tank were weak, Parker exposed that his skillset was one note and rudimentary and shaded several rounds and Povetkin picked up where Parker left off, and definitively won a few rounds. But AJ lucked out royally, because Sasha and Wlad were old as **** and physically past it, and Parker has gotten to where he fights scared. But all three had a ton of success against him. As his power incessantly bailed him out or kept his opponents terrified, his fanboys laughed with glee, and blinded themselves to reality, that time after time, their guy looked lackluster, but KO's cause instantaneous amnesia. Well not for me they don't. Everyone who isn't irrational could have seen the writing on the wall for the last 3 years. Finally he got an opponent who wouldn't be bullied, could slip his power shots, and could take them when they landed, and he wilted and fell apart completely.

AJ should serve as the ultimate cautionary tale to fanboys.

And don't throw Wilder in my face, I've always been honest, like with AJ..... his power bails him out, he has the skillset of a drunken deer, but there is three things that he possesses that AJ never has... a chin, a gas tank, and HEART.

Scientists measure size by weight regardless of fat or not, surely using logic Ruiz was the bigger guy weighting in at 271 pounds. Ruiz was walking down Joshua because he was so big and fat.

I remember Joshua also being in trouble in a round vs Parker but I can‘t remember which round it was, Joshua was like running away from him and Parker cornered him on the ropes then the ref came and saved Joshua, he also got rocked by an uppercut in that fight, there was a lot of foreshadowing.

Maybe i‘m talking bull**** lol, i need to see the fight again.

He seems to struggle particularly against shorter opponents. This is now a pattern.

No he struggles against opponents who can box and fight back and not at the cusp of kneeling over due to age.

Wladimir wasn't exactly a dwarf was he?

It just so happens he's been matched against short opponents because his team believed they were all going to get overwhelmed.

Klitschko is all an ATG and Joshua was fighting him in his 19th match.

Right then you realize that isn't how boxing works. Ruiz walked Joshua down because Ruiz didn't care if he got hit and Joshua knew his own chin was shaky. This is similar to Deontay Wilder who also is easy to walk down. Because he questions his own chin. Andy Ruiz being fat had nothing to do with it. If being fat had something to do with it wouldn't even boxer just come into the ring obese and do the same thing? If being fat helped you walk your opponent down then why wasn't Eric "Butterbean" Esch a top level fighter?

OP makes some very good points. There were warning signs in the Povetkin fight. I am no AJ fan but I did think something was off but that is no excuse. The Povetkin fight was in September, was this AJ's longest lay off? The dude is more preoccupied being a celebrity rather than a fighter.
