Why Oleksandr Usyk Is More Than Capable Of Moving Up & Dominating The Heavyweight Division.

There really isn't much talent at heavyweight, while cruiserweight has been loaded with genuinely very good fighters these past few years.

Usyk has a good chance, despite his smaller size, simply because there is no one at heavyweight who is nearly as skilled.

 

Good to see that Jacobs, Usyk and Parker were all there side by side watching the AJ/Ruiz fight.

 

Hope they keep in contact ... because Usyk/Parker would be a really interesting fight.

 

Yeah absolutely. A few people are talking about it but both camps aren't making any moves at all towards that. Parkers the only one to have beaten the champ so maybe Ruiz might look to rematch Parker. Who knows.

 

Neither could I. I didnt even see Kevin Barry. I just heard that pretty lady say that he was there and I assumed they were all sitting there in the fighters stand. I saw Jacobs and Usyk and they were just like me when I was watching that fight. Funny thing is - I was shocked too but I watched it on youtube and I already knew AJ loss because of the title of the video I was watching lol.

 

And Egis has already started to test the waters.

I logged onto YouTube the following morning and the first vid I saw was titled something like "Joshua vs Ruiz ends in devastating knockout" with a thumbnail of Joshua in fight pose, so ended up watching the fight thinking Joshua wins all along. Even after getting beat down the way he was I was genuinely stunned when the ref waved it off. It was a totally surreal moment.

 

I went for the radio version because I cant stand looking at Ruiz horrible body. Still just as surreal though.

Shocked.

 

I would definitely favour Usyk over Ruiz, this is a good match-up for Usyk. It would probably take him a few rounds to adjust, but as long as he can take Andy's power he'll win
