Thanks for posting. Yeah, that was interesting - he actually articulated a few of the things I have been getting at in this thread. Good stuff.
You guys need to stop making excuses for Joshua, he lost fair and square. In my opinion Josh only looked ''off'' because the fight took so long to start - first there was sweet Caroline, then the ring walks, then the three national anthems and finally the lengthy ring introductions.
Joshua was setup to be a cash cow by the minor British Elites Joshua was setup to be exposed in Grand fashion by the Global Elites The Question peasants can't ask, Did Hearn who knows the inside details bet against his Charge? The Blueprint of building a beast, then slaughtering it for the temple is an old ritual...Joshua had no Horns to fight for himself Deontay Wilder on the other hand can't be talked to or domesticated...He is literally treated as a super-natural self-made King, which is true
Haha. Don't people get excited here? I can see why people consider this a toxic place to have a discussion. At least there are a few adults who do appreciate different viewpoints. For the record I also doubt that was the case with AJ. The point I was trying to make was that a non interested viewer of the fight noticed something off with the fighter, though of course I'm sure anyone with an Iq greater than that of a glass of water would not need that explained to them.
Well all that's been revealed so far is that AJ had to change his groin protector before his ringwalk, making him slightly late.
I think it was because Joshua clearly hadn't eaten a Snickers before the fight like Ruiz Jr. We've all seen the Snickers adverts "You're not you when you're hungry". Joshua didn't eat his Snickers and so we didn't see Joshua in the ring that night, lol. Ruiz always has a Snickers on him, clearly prepared like a champion.
Also didn't take his preparation in Miami seriously. Had instagram models staying at the Miami Villa during training camp with his 'team' (his cousin and childhood mates)
This is true the build up was very different to any other Joshua fight we've seen. Showing us around a huge mansion in Miami, interviews with US rappers I've never heard of and building a gym and getting a graffiti artist to decorate it, instead of using one of the may boxing gyms in Miami. Plus why was he in Miami in the first place the fight was in NY, clearly wanted to be somewhere nice where he could get some beach time. Much like the Hamed documentary before his Barerra fight when Hamed spent more focus on haircuts and goat skin gloves it showed a champion distracted by the trappings of being a champion and not focused on the fight or opponent.
I'm another one that noticed something didn't seem right with AJ before the fight started. He didn't look himself and was acting different to his normal self. Something was off. Like the lights on but no ones home. In the post fight presser when he was asked about the delay, Eddie answered for him about the cup change.AJ then said something like " oh yeah the cup" Then you have his Dad having a go at Hearn in the ring. I can't see it being the occasion, he's handled things/ pressure great up to then. Maybe health or sparring, who knows. It isn't an excuse at all, just an observation that I noticed before the fight as well as after. Chuffed for Ruiz. Seems like a nice bloke. I would love to see him in with Wilder. Wilder would be favourite , but if Ruiz can rush him and get close, then he has a chance with those fast hands and good chin.
Tell that to the Gypsy King who answers only to the True King. He humbled Wilder with his witness to this. All the glory
Don't get angry. Your girl isn't even allowed to diagnose people with concussions, or any diagnosis for that matter.
1. Most crucial in my opinion - BAD PREPARATION: AJ was asked during the fight week presser if he had to change anything in camp once Ruiz signed on. He answered that the only thing they would have changed would have been getting southpaw sparring partners, should Ortiz had accepted the fight. Other than that, they didn't change anything. He said they mostly focus on developing himself in camp. This was very stupid. By comparison, Wladimir was always watching tape during camp. 2. Overconfidence and overlooking Ruiz - AJ was always the stronger physical specimen during his previous fights. He never met anyone who can take his punch and come back AND get the better of him during exchanges. Klitshko took his shots and got up but wasn't physical enough. Miller was never a threat due to his lack of speed. 3. Failing to listen to his coach - he was advised time and time again between rounds to stick to jabs, 1-2s, and movement. No hooks, no trying to get fancy. He failed to adjust. 4. Pressure of US debut and matching Wilder's performance 5. Rumour that he was hurt and dropped in sparring. If true, then this might have had an effect as well. 6. There is also the chance that Ruiz is just that guy who will always have his number, no matter what. Styles make fights.
