Feel sorry for him absolutely not, you should never feel sorry for your self or anybody else. Do i have compassion for anybody when they are down absolutely yes. Anybody that has ever truly hit rock bottom in life will have compassion for anybody else they see in a similar position weather they feel its deserved or not. The way you treat a man when he's down say's a lot about your own character. What goes around comes around.
From what I remember it was something about Nigerians being superior. These kind of comments are typical within the black community, regularly call each other uncle toms etc. Its not racist.
It was more than that via DM to Eddie Chambers. Very ugly comments and i'm amazed his team were able to sweep it under the rug so easily. @White Trunks Black Trim It's out there to find for yourself though, just google the key words and i'm sure you'll find it somewhere complete with screenshots - perhaps try Reddit. Problem is that discussion about it gets you a ban on here so I won't comment further.
He got what he deserved. He got his bubble burst, and crashed back down to reality. He needed some humble pie, because he was getting pretty arrogant with his position.
Even as an AJ fan it's hard to feel bad for him on this occasion. Looking back it stopped being about the boxing after the Povetkin fight. It started to go wrong when they announced and started promoting the 13th April Wembley date without an opponent. It felt like the opponent was secondary to the event which was all about AJ. Even when they announced the Madison Square Garden show, they cared too much about it being an American opponent. Even when Miller popped they still talked about wanting an American opponent. They shouldn't give a ****. The opponent should always come first and be the prime focus, everything else should come second. They've had to learn that the hard way.
Mostly no, its Boxing. In one sense i do because i dont think he asked to be put on such a high pedestal which he fell off on June the 1st. But he went with it. I understand they were trying to build him as a brand as much as a person like a Ronaldo, Beckham, Jordan and when you do that you have to give it the big one which isnt great when it all goes wrong. Dangerous to do it as a Boxer. But mostly no.its just the way it goes, he made some bad decisions in the 1st one and paid for them, gutted he lost but Ruiz did the job and did it well. If anything i think that loss could of done him some good. It appears that hes dropped some bulk, i hope it is right, i would like to see him come in under 240. Im a big Joshua fan though so i really hope he comes back and beats Ruiz this time.
