The reality is that because Ruiz was the chief support on the Danny Garcia fight on the 25th of May he actually had a 15 week training camp with a fight in between so not actually sure from a preparation perspective he will be much better. The problem Hearn and AJ have is that Ruiz is a PBC Al Haymon fighter so they need to force the immediate rematch c;ause otherwise they risk losing control if they don't take it and Al Haymon fighters will have all the heavyweight belts and freeze AJ out. Saying that AJ is an economic powerhouse. I get your points clearly hence this is truly pushing the risk reward pendulum. For me what is most critical is that AJ needs a better boxing trainer. I have felt this for a while as I am not seeing the improvements we should see. He should possess an authoritative jab which he does not have yet nor is his defence great.

I would love it If Ruiz ruined wilder as well. The unlikely champ out of nowhere after months of these 3 big names all talking **** and ducking each other

Joshua still generates the most money no belts or not, Whyte would certainly fight him still as anyone who likes money would.

Joshua definatetly has to take the rematch right away ,what are ppl talking about on here ? lol

I don’t know what you’re saying now? Are you saying you haven’t seen Wilder getting dropped and sparked out in those videos before now?

This. The idea that AJ shouldn't take a rematch asap is absurd.

Joshua won’t continue generating the money he does if he surrenders his right at a chance to reclaim his titles. Lennox would’ve been the laughing stock of the boxing world if he didn’t have the rematch with Rahman and fought somebody else. Joshua isn’t established yet to point that he’s like Ali or Mayweather and is a mega star with or without a title.

He will still generate the most money. Wilder CANNOT generate the same money no matter what belts he has.

Lewis wasn't the cash cow...it was HOLYFILED and TYSON. Lewis wasn't a money generator without fighting those two.

AJ will still sell out Wembley you'll see with NO title as more ppl will want to see if he bounces back.

I don't know if Lewis took an immediate rematch ? I know he didn't get the belts back for 2 years with McCall or Rahman ? It wouldn't really apply here bc of social media era. Joshua needs the rematch right away is correct anyone says otherwise don't know what theyre talking about.

This is a situation where the promoter's best move is at odds with the fighter's best move. Joshua needs to refocus and retool, but Matchroom can't afford to lose all those belts. They will be taken prisoner by PBC if AJ can't win them back. Ortiz will get step aside money, and if Wilder defeats Ruiz then Finkel will offer onerous terms for Wilder/Joshua.

If you desire to see Wilder/Joshua, as a fan, then you have to support this rematch. I just don't think it's good for Joshua.

Plot twist, Haymon sends ruiz into temporary retirement, belts become vacant wilder get's his hands on another belt , fury gets his hands on another belt, and whyte gets the other.

Also don't be surprised if ruiz gets stripped for not defending against a mandatory before the AJ fight like fury got stripped straight after winning.

Ruiz had back to back training camps. Thats the best thing for a guy like him. He couldn't have been any more prepared. But having fought and beat Joshua once already will make him better prepared than any training camp going into the rematch.

    Big Andy was the challenger
    Joshua wore the crown
    And got dropped four times
    While being outclassed
But still he did not frown

If anyone is ruining AJ, it’s Ruiz not Eddie.
