He did not have a 15-week camp preparing for AJ. He had a fight. Which he trained for. Then you want to tell me he was in the gym the next day specifically preparing for AJ even though AJ was contracted to fight Big Baby. Got it.
It's not about what I said. In the post-fight interview they are talking about how he had 15 weeks in training camp leading up to this fight and how he was ready and should not be underestimated...and seriously who am I to call the new heavyweight champ a bullshitter? lol
Yeah, but I don’t see anyone shooting down anything on the the first page. Not a single person standing up for Ruiz, so it’s easy to come in here and say something AFTER they were proved wrong.
It would have been stupid if he trained hard for 15 consecutive weeks, he wouldn’t have peaked for the Joshua fight. What he did was have a one week break following his easy fight in April. He trained for 14 out of 15 weeks, and it was ideal preparation for the Joshua bout.
i made no prediction or analysis for the fight. i knew andy was world class, but i had not seen enough of him to offer my opinion without having to talk out my ass. fights like ggg-rolls on the other hand, i feel comfortable mocking, even not knowing enough about rolls. you dont pull a rocky on guys of ggg's caliber.
unless u r afat power guy, in which case if ruiz puts on another 100lbs he could ko ali and louis too.
There’s a difference between training and training for a specific opponent. The latter is what a camp is.
