To be fair, this "stay humble" that hes always going on about makes me think its like what he says to soothe himself, like maybe hes always struggled with nerves, its just this time it was a massive occasion and he started having panic attacks in the lead up..It might be too much for a world class athlete to overcome and be 100% imo

The thing I find weird is how his eyes looked. He seemed vacant and looked bleary eyed. Probably messed up his dosages before the fight - looked drugged out of his box.
He just got beat up by a better fighter. And, yeah, he's probably a front runner who couldn't handle the pressure of NEW YORK, NEW YORK ....
The pressure was on him to demonstrate to the American viewers that he’s a devastating finisher like Wilder. That was his introduction to America and his opportunity to announce himself on a much bigger stage than our little island. If he lost, he knew that would be his big chance to be a star in America blown (for a few years anyway). It was MSG, where his hero’s have previously fought. So I would argue that the pressure was bigger than he was used to. The expectations on that lad are incredible, he’s a brand & ultimately he carries that burden alone. That’s a lot for a young man to carry on his shoulders. There was anxiety in the ring walk, when Buffer was doing his stuff and his performance itself in those first 2 rounds. Whether that’s from everything I mentioned above or something in his camp I don’t know. He was crouched, pawing out single jabs and clearly anxious about getting into any close exchange with Ruiz. He fatigued very very quickly, and we all know on here from watching David Price how anxiety can drain the gas tank.
did u see that pic he posted of his team on instagram??!! he had 23 people. Imagine having 23 people on your payroll... you have to buy all of them flights, hotels, transportation, food, and on top of that, pay all of their wages... It's hard with my small business and I only have 2 employees LOL... I can't imagine paying 23 people then paying all of their expenses.. that would eat up my bank account.
Hearn is vehemently denying anything bad went on in camp or on fight fight. If there's one man in the world who wants an excuse for Saturday night it's Hearn so I think the fact he's saying everything was fine speaks volumes. I don't believe he was KO'd in camp, nor suffered a panic attack im the dressing room. Although, I do believe he let the pressure get to him walking to the ring and during the announcements. I find that strange because he's fought regularly in front of 80,000 but America was a big change of scenery. He was under immense pressure to get an early stoppage and was visibly uncomfortable. Unfortunately for Joshua, that's the name of the game. Look at Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor, Manny Pacquaio and our own Tyson Fury for examples - they all smile, laugh, dance and sing walking to the ring. They deal with pressure so well. If Joshua is to come back and beat the top guys, he'll have to deal with the pressure a lot better than he did on Saturday night.
