Was a promising unbeaten southpaw from Kelty in Fìobha, Scotland. Passed on now aged just 26, reportedly after struggling with depression. He was loved by all in the Scottish boxing scene, judging by all the words of grief & tribute pouring in. He would reportedly travel around the country and spar with anybody upon request, show young kids the ropes, etc, and was a close friend of Josh Taylor. He went 13-0 (4) at middle & super middle and never fought anybody of note, really - but in a recent interview he did mention giving up his full-time job to focus on the sport, and there was clearly some potential there. If he in fact had gotten around to mixing at higher levels, one can well imagine him doing alright on eye test alone. Law vs. José Clavero: This content is protected
RIP. Depression is a horrible Killler and can affect anybody. People don't speak up and this is the result. Seriously if you think somebody is down, just talk to them or be there with them. Can make a huge difference.
Rip Connor was a very talented individual. People should speak up, there is no shame in having mental health issues.
