I don't think he needs to do that. A simple jab and move should do the trick. Ruiz got hit by a few right hands down the pipe when Joshua hung back, and Joshua was able to catch him with his left as well. Joshua wasn't looking brilliant in the early rounds, but he only really started to unravel after the knockdown.

People are making too much of Ruiz's performance IMO. This is a man that was being outboxed at times by Joseph Parker.

Joshua has the tools to do the job if he keeps his head.

If you can't see Joshua was not close to 100% going into this fight, I don't know what to say.
He got clipped upside the temple and was totally gone. He looked really fragile and was clearly not right, like he had sunstroke or something.
A fully recovered and rejuvenated AJ smashes Ruiz in the rematch. If AJ had his usual punch resistance he'd have ridden the shot that rocked him and splattered Ruiz in the third round.
Kudos to Ruiz for getting up but imo AJ had the most off of off-nights and Andy won't be so lucky again.

Tell you what I'd do. Let AJ fight someone like Bryant Jennings in Philly or something. Then maybe run it with Jarrell Miller in NY. Fight a couple dudes you feel like you can beat. Get your confidence back.

Let Ruiz do an undisputed fight with Wilder. Then Wilder fights Fury. Or however it shakes out. (Probably Fury or Wilder being undisputed). Then go after them when they have the belts.

You built your confidence back up and if you win them off Fury or Wilder you are pretty much redeemed with a bigger payday. Then you can always give Ruiz a rematch after for big money as well.

LMAO. All the excuses from the Joshua fangirls. I love that. Everyone in his team including himself said he was 100% and he was well prepared. He was just overpowered by the better boxer. Ruiz will KTFO him again in the rematch. Bye bye.

I would get Joshua to take that fight if he wants that fight. What a better way to get rid of the demons than to beat the guy who gave you those demons?

AJ is guaranteed money bc he generates money.

    DAZN isn't in the U.K .

DAZN also offered Wilder over 100 million but bc he had to fight AJ with that contract he showed he had no confidence in himself taking the deal...A.KA a cowards move to run away from also a chance at 4 belts.

Get off the dumbed down you tube channels you continually pass on here,it aint doing you favors either. lol

That doesn't really mean anything bc ESPN plus still charges for PPV's at their discretion like they do with UFC. ( Unlss you buy a special package ??IDK ? )

Warren said it would be PPv and videos have confirmed this unless he changed his mind which he should bc they will look really stupid.

The problem isn't the PPV with the Ortiz fight, its the price.

Im definatley not getting anything over 45 dollars concerning Wilder for 5 reasons OFF HAND ( I know I can have a list of them )

    1. He ran away from a undisputed fight .

    2. His fights could end in 1 or 12 rounds ?

    3. Ortiz is WELL over his suggested age now.

    4. Too pricey for a guy who now decides to pretend to be a PPV draw.

    5. I cant stand Wilder . ( lol )

That's bc Brewster ran away for as long as he could before he was cornered.

If AJ cant defeat someone like Ruiz in a rematch ,he has no business being champion and its a complete waste of his career if he doesn't take the rematch next and that's a choice he made so apparently he wants to continue dominating the sport .....

First step is getting by a a fight he felt no urgency in.

If he doesn't take this type of rematch ,he's already lost and it will be his best chance of beating Ruiz bc no one he fights is going to remotely resemble him so he NEEDS to get back in there while he still has a gage on Ruiz's stature and be able to make it easier to adjust to that smaller guy .Holding it off does zero for Joshua ,its not that he lost ,its how he lost.

IF AJ didn't have ANY knockdowns some may even have a SLIGHT argument , but its not the case, a very winnable fight and a fight he should win hands down IF he decides he wants a real boxing legacy as a ATG he has to show up ALL the time not when he wants to.

I have ESPN+. It's only 5 a month. It's not PPV. I'd be shocked if they made that fight PPV. Crawford vs Kahn was PPV it wasn't on ESPN+.

Well maybe you love the sweet science but most casual fans b*tch about boxing being boring. And for my money and their money Wilder will always give you an exciting fight. He tries to KO everyone with every ounce of his soul for the fans and I find that admirable. Fury a great boxer but can be a snoozefest if in there with the wrong guy. He admitted he couldn't even watch his Klitschko fight in Rogan because it was boring (great achievement though).

I think where Wilder gets the most hate is 2 fold.
1.) His technique. Which is over blown to me. Sure is he the most polished? No. But he is fine until he gets a dude hurt. Then he goes berserk. Which honestly AJ could learned from. I mean DW won a damn Bronze medal after a year of boxing.
2.) Some things he says. Sometimes even I roll my eyes. Sometimes he gets in his preacher rants. I think he just says some stuff because he thinks he has to or to sell a fight but comes off ingenuine sometimes. That's just him working to me trying to project a persona. He actually works really hard and is a family man. Seems like a cool dude away from the cameras. Plus I think he actually likes AJ it's Hearn who he depises.

They just charged for a UFC card and boxing so no ,they do charge certain events as PPV .

You get Crawford fights with more expensive ESPN plus package I believe ? Either way ESPN is charging ppv if its not on your 5 dollar Sub, DAZN does not do that you get ALL the fights in the package no extra payments required.

Wilder will bring exciting fights bc he doesn't out box guys. All his fights are fans waiting for one punch to end it.so they don't care nor know as much with boxing craft. In the end I still need to see refined skills not someone waiting to club someone and pay for it.

Wilders character is an obnoxious idiot most of the time and whats real funny is he OWES it all to Joshua as far as the attention he's got bc without him he would be fighting PBC guys still with no promotion behind him.

Hes also the one as usual that started all this by attacking Aj in the media After he declined to step in the ring with him after his Klitschko win. Hers fake as hell and I hope he gets knocked out more then ever on top of this and many other things claiming AJ wasn't a real champion when the JOKER himself made about 10 excuses why he had a bad performance against Fury in a fight he knows he lost. lol

How can an idiot like wilder really state AJ wasn't a real champion when he ran from him and uses excuses like a broken arm and Fury using BABY oil on him ? HAHAHA

Sorry I have no sympathy for this idiot liar who LIES 24/7 and I hope he gets stretched out and takes a OFFICIAL L.

In fact he's so mentally ill before the Breazeale fight he said on live T.V on a show it was ONLY him confronting Breazeale at a hotel lobby when then videos surfaced of a huge mob with him including his family taking swings on him ? Wow ,id really like to know some of his fans IQ's for real that actually believe this guy ..... lol

AJ should fake an injury and come back when Ruiz is out of the picture.
