I noticed it when I first saw it. The spanish broadcast also knew AJ was done even before the 4th KD.

I think everyone knew he was done after the 3rd knockdown, he had no answer for Ruiz.

in all honesty he might just have trained for the wrong guy too solidly, and when he got caught he fell back on the training for the other bigger guy. He forgot to adapt to surviving against a little man throwing from angles below.

Aj is not quick to adapt - instead he plans meticulously beforehand.

I personally thought AJ's Body language was all wrong before the fight even began, to the point I was actually thinking about betting on Ruiz. It just seemed weird. His mouthpiece being chewed, his arms on the ropes, but more important his eyes. It was like he didn't want to be there. There was no bouncing around. There was no body language that told me he was ready to box. Very strange.

It was just such a strange fight. AJ looked gassed by round 3. Something just didn't seem right.

Well I never called the fight. I believe Joshua would win the fight, but his body language was strange to the point I was questioning myself. Seemed like he was bricking it.

Yeah well, when AJ was knocked down the final time... his smile while trying to get back up was also a sign he knew he was cooked. He might have muttered 'yeah' when asked by the ref if he wanted to box on, but everything else said otherwise. Spitting out his mouthpiece, the resigned smile, the walk away from the ref, standing in the corner arms on the ropes not forming a guard (like he had done after getting up from the 3rd KD only moments before), looking to his corner and refusing to walk forward and back into action, all screamed 'I've had enough'. And he had more than 25 seconds to evaluate, way more than is typically granted.

But although he quit, I don't see him as a quitter. There is a distinction. He got up four times, He chose not to box on once....

He never quit. He was asked by the ref did he want to continue and he nodded his head yes. The ref made the decision to stop the fight. It wasn't Joshua quitting. I'm sick of people claiming that fighters quit when somebody other than the fighter makes the decision to stop the fight.

If you had any conviction in your opinion, you'd address my post directly - like I am yours - rather than passively aggressively scribble down some whinny comment underneath.

But on the upside, at least you're commenting about other fighters, so that's good to see...

So what about this picture makes you think he wanted to box on?
