I knew people wouldn't be able to deal with the TRUTH when Joshua's flaws were finally brutally exploited and he was exposed.
Many of us saw it coming a while ago.
No, i didn't expect Ruiz to do it but he exploited the flaws we'd all been well aware of.

It's amusing how difficult people are finding it to compute this simple occurrence .

HE IS A HUGELY LIMITED FIGHTER.
    Ruiz took care of him.
    Nothing more to see here.

I think he has a great chance of beating him again, mate. I said it on Sunday, Ruiz has his number. He’s stylistically wrong for Joshua. I believe Joshua can improve from this defeat but he knows that Ruiz is at his most dangerous when he commits to a shot. He now knows that Ruiz is very confident in throwing shots with Joshua and actually waits for Joshua to throw and then throws with him. Knowing you’re likely to get caught when throwing your own shot hits the confidence hard, and makes you gun shy, especially when the opponent appears to be able to hold your hardest punch a lot better than you hold his.

How many hard shots did Joshua land on Saturday? He put Ruiz on his backside with a lovely combination but it didn’t concuss him. He was absolutely fine when he got back up. He then took a couple more even harder shots from Joshua in the exchange and he still didn’t budge. His chin was absolutely superb....what does that do psychologically to a fighter who relies hugely on his power? I really think some people are underestimating this mental factor.

Not sure what your point is? Every fighter has flaws / every fighter is beatable. I don’t think anyone thought he’d end up with a 0 to his name. You obviously take great joy in seeing him lose. I’m sure you have your reasons - Hearn, Hearn ... Hearn. But a British world heavyweight champion capable of knocking out anyone isn’t the norm - maybe you’ve forgotten the boring old days of Klitcho?

I know what you’re saying but the yanks have teles and YouTube. Anyone over there who was watching that fight would have already knew what Joshua was about.

I think he just got banged fair and square. There’s no shame in that and he has actually ‘stayed humble’ after it so fair play to him. People should stop making excuses.

Joshua and his team got their tactics all wrong going into the fight. And so too with the preparations if you believe those concussion stories. Ruiz never been dropped in 33 fights, and was relatively unknown. Joshua made the risky assumption that he could take the blob out in the early rounds. If Joshua's clever in the rematch, then he'll realize that constantly using lateral movement, and not standing in the same spot like a big stiff stupid weightlifter. He won't be a standing target for those devastating exchanges. All about keeping a certain distance, and shooting those quick 1 2''s from range. Ruiz only started walking him down when he was hurt. His legs weren't their after the 3rd, and he was running on the fumes. If I was Joshua , I would be thinking about a 12 rounder in the rematch. And aiming to cut up his eyes, with a high volume of jabs.

But why was AJ being KO'd by such low level sparring partners in the first place? does he just suck that bad?

Ok, you say he just needs to constantly use lateral movement, yet Anthony Joshua doesn’t have and never has had decent lateral movement. He’s very tight/stiff in his movement...how can he suddenly defy his body type and exhibit lateral movement in a rematch?

He doesn’t stand in the same spot but he does have a tendency to go back and forward in straight lines. Ruiz was a lot faster than him and threw his flurries and punished him for it.

Ruiz was walking him down from the first bell. Joshua was trying to keep the distance, and was showing the right hand but it didn’t deter Ruiz from constantly trying to cut down that distance. To not be able to hold the centre of the ring and to instead have to circle, jab, re-set, circle, jab, re-set was exhausting him. He was having to work at a higher pace than he was comfortable with.

He needs to throw a hard, accurate double jab from the shoulder in the rematch. None of this from the hip business and he needs to do some really ugly Klitschko v Povetkin type clinching. To the point where it’s ugly to watch. Keep his right hand up against his chin and just jab and hook with his lead hand.

I think he would benefit losing about 5lbs. Won't drain him too much. He was alot faster around 17 stone when he fought Sprott and Skelton.

Inactivity is an issue also 8 months between fights is too long !

It seems Hearn and AJ adopted the Mayweather PPV model of twice a year, problem is AJ ain't nothing like Floyd as a fighter.

I didn't watch live, no way I'm staying up for an AJ fight. However I've just watched the fight and, from what I saw, I believe AJ choked. The occasion got to him.

Exactly this. It was as much AJ’s flaws and vulnerability along with his power that made him exciting and a big draw. I don’t think anyone ever thought he was going to be the GOAT. AJ haters might not like to hear this, but the AJ story has never been bigger or had more people as interested as they are now.

I beg to differ. @TonyHayers has 'AJ' tattooed on his pecker and when he gets an erection it says 'AJ.G.O.A.T'

His ass hole went plain and simple, hence why he quit....day before the fight he was swaggering around headphones on ,top off looking rather confident ...let's not make excuses for AJ he was over hyped. .

The conspiracy theories are hilarious, people are acting like he got his arse kicked from the first bell and forgetting he had ruiz in trouble before he got reckless and gave ruiz a chance in a slugfest. I think the real problem is his punch resistance isn't that flash going down the line, unfortunately you can't fix that.
