It's not that I don't understand your points, it's that you always mention other things that have no relevance to them.

I agree with everything you said except that Mayweather fought Oscar in second gear. Mayweather would have given Oscar a bad beating if he wasn't concerned about making the rematch viable. The question with Ward and Ruiz is whether Ward could give Ruiz enough movement to last the distance. Maybe not but it is an open question to me.

What people don't realize is that Ward can beat anyone.

He'll keep running until the ref is behind Ruiz. He will duck, lunge in with 3 nut shots and Ruiz will go down in agonizing pain. Some people have iron chins, but do they have iron balls?

Tyson was only 5'11, look at him fighting Lewis, he looked tiny and Tua (5'10) looked far smaller than Ruiz when fighting Lewis.

This is a prime example of what I'm referring to.

Of course Floyd wouldn't have gone toe to toe against GG. But that doesn't mean he couldn't beat Canelo.

So what if Canelo would finish McGregor quicker?

What has that got to do with anything?

Yes, I think Ruiz would have caught Roy.

Canelo at 160 is too big and powerful for Floyd or Conor, he`d walk Floyd down and knock his old ass out, time for the pipe and slippers, how long do you think he can go on for? He was slower v Conor, I feel Canelo is faster than Conor but Floyd did not look quicker than Conor at all despite easily winning by walking him down.

I like Ward and think he's amazing, but I think he would be biting more than he can chew at heavyweight. He had issues with Kovalev. Imagine if a guy 50 lbs. heavier hits him.

Floyd fought Oscar in second gear?

    You're joking.

Oscar pushed him hard and could have pulled out the win had he not have faded in the last 4 rounds.

Floyd wanted nothing to do with a rematch.

He retired before joining the WWE circus.

Even if Andre could last the distance, he'd never accumulate enough points for a win. Because Ruiz would just drive forward at every opportunity. And without the power to keep him at bay or the speed to keep making him miss, he'd have to fight defensively in order to not get hurt. And if you fight defensively, you neglect your offense, which means you can't bank enough rounds to outpoint your opponent.

We're not talking about today's Floyd.

We're talking about the version of Floyd who fought Canelo, back in 2013 or whenever it was.

That version of Floyd against today's version of Canelo.

I agree in that it would be a completely different fight.

    Today's Canelo could definitely win.

The point is though, the version of Floyd from 2013 could also have beaten today's version of Canelo, irrespective of the fact that he couldn't have gone toe to toe with GG.

Floyd not being able to go toe to toe with GG like Canelo did, doesn't mean anything.

    It's completely irrelevant.

    It's a point that doesn't need referencing.

They're completely different fighters with completely different styles.

If Mayweather didn’t originally want a rematch, why did he suggest one in his in-ring interview? Only time I saw the victor ask for a rematch. Mayweather wanted to renegotiate the rematch terms and Oscar wasn’t having any of that. That’s why Mayweather retired until the rematch contract expired. Mayweather even threatened to fire Roger for training Forbes to fight Oscar. “Messing with my money!”
