I'm interested to see how the IBF plays out.

Not sure how much Ruiz see's Pulev's jab as a threat, but it's surely not a good risk/reward equation compared to a Joshua rematch or Wilder..

Pulev/Fury for the vacant IBF belt ... that'd make things all the more interesting.

Let's be realistic, Ruiz won't get more than 10 mill for the rematch. I'm not convinced that PPV did more than 1 mill, I think it did less than 1 mill in US on Fox.

If Ruiz doesn't fight where and when Hearn wants him to hten he will be taken to court and lose an automatic ruling against him.

Greed has gone to his head.

Unfortunately this could be his downfall for in the rematch. Lack of concentration and more on being a playboy.

Why we even discuss this ? It`s all depend on the first contract he sign and the rematch clause. There is probably a clause what will be the split if Ruiz won the first fight. I doubt Hearn not put that in.
I due think Andy Ruiz deserve atleast 50% of the deal, it has to be 50-50 fight or 60-40, because he have all the belt now. I dont give a s**** about who is A side, B side, C side.
All that should matter is the belt.

The poster who said Hearn is now his promoter for 3 fights, where did that come from? I thought that might be the case as Ruiz put “@EddieHearn who is next?” Which I thought was weird because if it wasn’t AJ then what would he have to do with Hearn?

Good for Andy as he is the obvious "A" side.

In reality, although contracts are legal documents, no promoter or boxer wants to go down that route if there is an unsolvable disagreement over location, purse split etc. Contracts, in reality and practice merely load the dice for negotiation, especially in scenarios such as this when an upset win triggers clauses not many people thought would be relied on.

Hearn doesn't sound too sure about location, so maybe that isn't covered, or it is but he has to wait until DAZN tell him where they want it to be. But even if the contract is water tight from a Matchroom POV, there's little value in playing hard ball. That could end in court, the belts scattered around and in the hands of other fighters in the meantime, or Haymon reluctantly agreeing to unfavourable terms only for Ruiz to get 'injured' weeks before the fight date and location which has been imposed on him.

Hearn might hold all the cards but reality dictates he can't play all of them. He's gonna have to sit down and work with the reality he's faced with from a strong but not impenetrable position.

But the ace up Haymon's sleeve? He has control of all the belts and Hearn has zip...

This. Joshua would win the rematch easily in the UK If Hearn brings in the referee from the Parker fight.

And so he should. Strike when the iron's hot. The fight will generate the same cash a pre-Ruiz Wilder v Joshua clash would.
