Go watch the first two knockdowns. That ref doesnt make him step forward before signaling the fight to continue.

Now go watch the last knockdown of Vargas vs Trinidad... Vargas gets knocked down, turns his back, and then look at how many time Naddy has to wave him forward before he steps forward. Yet you would rightfully be called crazy if you think Vargas wanted to quit.

Labeling an exhausted fighter a quitter for not immediately stepping forward to a ref who didnt make him step forward before in the same fight and wasnt overtly waving him forward or asking him repeatedly to step forward as weve seen other refs do plenty of times, is way over the top, uncalled for and unjust, imo.

Now if he was waving AJ forward or asking him repeatedly to step forward and AJ looked away or didnt asnwer Id understand.

The ref was right in front of him, AJ was looking him in the eye and telling him he wanted to continue.

Lol Klitshko allowed him a breather for 5 rounds after the knockdown, here Ruiz showed him no mercy, big difference. AJ quit when the heat got put on him. Facts

He wanted his team to jump in and get him out of the fight. I think Joshua does have heart, but he also has his limits and the four knock downs was enough for him.

“Facts”. Who are you, David Brent? I think you’ll find that’s your opinion, not a fact. Learn the difference.

Joshua took a lot of punishment in the Klitschko fight, other than just the knockdown. I suggest you go and watch it again. He then rallied to stop Wlad. You said he “doesn’t have the stomach for a dog fight”, which is exactly what that fight was.

If the ref had allowed the fight to continue, then AJ was getting carried out on a stretcher.

The Ref did what AJ's corner wouldn't...AJ wanted his corner to stop it but since they punked out the ref did it for him.
