Unfortunately, The Ring (incorrectly, IMO) ranked Thompson behind Boytsov and Dimitrenko, so he just doesn't place here according to their rankings.
Actually, going by the specific matchups you posted... which are the 10 fighters head to head based on ranked, I have it tied 5 to 5. The ones Im picking from that era are Wlad, Vitali, Povetkin, Haye and Chagaev. I had todays era winning at first glance because I had Ortiz beating Haye... but on second thought, Ortiz is pretty past it and that was a prime Haye, so Ill switch to Haye there. I have it a draw in eras.
It's because Thompson had just lost to Wlad. Boytsov had no business being there with a nothing resume though.
