Why did Ruiz weigh 268 pounds when he was 255 for Parker?

Did anyone notice this?? Why did Ruiz put on an extra 13 pounds to fight Joshua? Was he not taking AJ seriously? or did he think the extra weight would give me more punching power? What happens if Ruiz gets back to 255 for the rematch? Is it night night for AJ?

Parker asked him this same question when they met up in New York, Ruiz told him he wanted to come in heavier because he thought it would help him better deal with AJ using his size to clinch and lean on him.

Ruiz said he wanted the extra weight in case Aj leaned on him.

Ruiz was also more active for this one in between fights and had many more rounds since..

In reality both Ruiz and parker have and /or are both more prepared for big fights. The difference is Parker lost his big fights and lost the Ruiz one if accurate scoring is involved.

I have little doubt Ruiz will not defeat Aj if comes over 250 again ( I don't think he wins at any weight ). AJ will pick him apart from outside first and be much more ring savvy.

Ruiz weighing near 270 next time will not end good for him , his best chance is around 245 ,he really has lost some movement ,anyone who studiers his fights knew this going in ,this doesn't mean the same result as last fight. AJ will be way more on point and that lunging closing distance on Aj wont work as well, those who have said Ruiz is great better remember and stop with the short term memory when AJ wins that AJ is number one since Ruiz is now, same guys saying AJ wasn't number one...lol

PPL really need to look at rematch HW histories throughout the decades when immediate rematches happened in title fight.
