Lennon for sure. Also, regarding that dreadlocked guy, has anyone else noticed that sometimes he repeats the fighters surname, but with a small delay so it sounds really awkward, wtf is that about?
Prime for prime, Buffer. Today, Lennon takes it.. Buffer has seen his best days. I also like Lupe Contreras, especially in the Solo Boxeo days.
Buffer is shot. He was the GOAT back in the mid to late 90s, though. Check out Chavez/ODLH I for prime, hyped up Buffer. Lewis/Grant also was a great Buffer intro. I agree with IsaL that Lupe Contreras also is good. Lennon is fine, but for me his voice is too whiny.
Diamante would spark the pair of them out on the same night and he wouldn't even need to use his secret weapon either ie. his deadly dreads. If he used secret weapon he would've beaten both Ruiz and AJ the other night. He would've beaten AJ by whipping his dreads like a crocodile whips its tail to shatter his glass jaw and he would've beaten Ruiz via stealth attack by sneaking up behind him when he was eating a Snickers and wrapping one of his dreads around his neck and choking him out with it.
I love that guy. Just way over the top but it works. At least he puts some serious effort into it. But Michael is shot to ****. Should have retired ages ago. But all the free traveling and high end boontang is keeping him going.
I remember seeing buffer up close at the Bristol night race a few years back, hot August night phew he was struggling
I like them both. Lennon Jr is always consistent. Buffer did botch Mayweather Pacqiaio, which was probably the most watched boxing match he ever announced. His voice was completely hoarse and the whole world was watching.
you didn't mention what era are we comparing ? BUFFER is ass nowadays he needed to retire LONG TIME ago
He's basically become a 'rent an opinion' for Matchroom. He lets them use his twitter account to spread propaganda and has a total pro-Matchroom bias every time he comments on anything. I understand he's employed by them, but it's very tiresome and boring. He also doesn't come across as a very good guy. He rants at various politicians, usually criticising their personal appearance as if he hasn't had thousands of dollars of work done himself. Safe to say i'm not a fan.
I used to like Buffer more. But for the past ten years, I have preferred Lennon Jr. Lennon Jr. has very unique, smooth, classic but consistent voices. His build-up is definitely second-to-none. His introduction made this sport sounds like a real gentlement sport. Plus, he is a surprisingly vastly knowledgable of boxing. And he is a very nice man too (got a photo alongside him myself)
