I'm getting a vibe that maybe Tyson has over stepped the line with control imo..Its not like Haye was an opponent anymore and Tyson's pulled out of fights himself for worse reasons than Hayes eye split which derailed their fight..He imo is a little bit unbalanced

Yeah perhaps, but he made them both rich and gave them standing in the sport.

They would be no marks without him.

It’s like being CEO of a company you built and your two directly beneath you running the business talking with other rival companies.

If you can’t answer no problem. Slightly different topic.. What was the reason Tyson didn’t fight the Wilder rematch straight away? Was it solely because of promotional stuff (building the fight) or because he needed more time to get to peak level/recover from being dropped so heavily?

    I think it's about motivation/fear with Fury.

Which is why he won't shine in his next fight.

I can give you a brief synopsis of who Tyson likes/ friendly and does not like (as of the duhapas fight, this may have changed)

    Likes

Saunders, however they have heated run ins (like brothers I suppose)

    Parker

    Liam walsh

    Peter McDonagh

    Mike conlan

    Joe Joyce

Tyrone McKenna (you might not all have heard of him)

    Dislikes

Martin Murray (believes Murray is big headed and thinks he is better than he is.

Bellew ( but sometimes I’m not so sure)

Price (despite the public act he doesn’t like price still)

Liam smith and Paul smith (he likes the other two)

    Anthony fowler

Tj Doheny (trust me, arrogant Australian)

That’s all I can think of for now

    Ok.

No.1 - you go into another hard fight after being knocked nearly dead you run the risk of perminant concussion. See James de gale, perma concussed.

No.2- money and options. He got his big deal after proving himself. Schwartz holds a lofty IBF position and WBO position. The IBF has the no.2 spot vacant for when Ruiz is eventually stripped. Pulev will fight the number 2. Tyson would much rather grab a vacant title against a light hitting, less dangerous opponent with his promotion behind him.

I get that feeling too. He clearly has a ton of talent but often guys like that are only at their best when up against the cannon's mouth. I feel that until Fury gets old, his biggest threats are going to be from second string guys that can fight a bit, that he just can't get himself motivated for rather than the top dog, scary guys, which he can motivate himself for.

Thanks - suspected as much, cheers for confirming.

People always bring up this supposed sparring AJ and Fury did years ago.. depending on who you believe, some think AJ got the better of Fury.. but others say AJ did well to begin with, then Fury got into first gear and 'won' the rest. Do you know anything about that? Appreciate it's only sparring and was a few years ago.. but it would be interesting if you've got an inside track.

I would've assumed, given the relatively small circuit of decent British heavyweights, that they would've sparred multiple times over the years.

Only witnessed one sparring session with aj an fury and I feel aj got the better of it

I have seen a young fury spar Wlad and get the better of him however.

    Sparring is sparring

Believe it or not I actually witnessed Dave Allen get the better of tyson in sparring!

I know this sounds really far fetched but it’s true. Maybe tyson was going 50%, but Dave hurt him

And Haye messed him around cancelling two fights at a time when boxing was pretty much the only thing keeping him going. Hughie and Peter would have known that. They didn't tell Tyson what they were doing for a reason, and I guess they just didn't expect Haye to make it public...
