I've talked extensively about Wilder's fragile mandible over the last several years, but it appears that Joshua has also been packing one as well. Otherwise he would NOT have been stopped by Andy Ruiz. I've held off on proclaiming Joshua's chin as china for several reasons - although it has always been suspect, and I have noted this. For one thing, Joshua has fought a higher level of opposition than Wilder, and so when he was dropped by Klitschko or wobbled by Whyte, it was easy to write this off a fluke because, well, Whyte and Klitschko aren't exactly Dustin Nichols or Harold Sconiers. But apparently, despite his considerably better level of competition, Joshua, like Wilder, also is sporting some seriously fragile whiskers. If this guys ever fight, it's a pick 'em because whoever lands the first solid shot on the other guy's shaky mandible.
This is the exact same thing people were saying about Wlad a while back including the mandible crap. And the dung about Lennox losing to Vitali even though he won. It's laugh riot.
I believe Ruiz has legit power with great fast Combos but that's irrelevant because AJ proved withoutd a doubt he's packing Kahn level chin.. Imagine DW landing full on that chin, mght just be the "body" wilder been waiting for. AJ might be able to klit Ruiz in the rematch but now everyone knows to punch when he punches and as long as you're tough(mentally) , have a chin and talent your should catch him and then it's game on
Wilder's chin is not glass, he has had 40 plus professional fights and has not once touched the canvas. He has recovered from bad situations and has taken shots in fights where he has still carried on fighting and kept his wits about him. David Haye who sparred with Wilder confirms that Wilder has an under rated chin. I have seen both Wilder and AJ fight and can confidently say that AJ has much weaker whiskers.
Definitely weaker than Deontay's. People realise the truth now. Completely dismantled against the blob.
Joshua is the definition of glass. Bully mentality, who thinks lifting weights makes you tough. Glass chin, heart and no tank. Imagine someone like, say, Holyfield in that predicament. 1- he probably wouldn’t be down anyway 2- hed be screaming to continue, not looking like he’s about to cry, whispering yes with arms on ropes. Stiff plonker
Lol who can forget the Riddick Bowe 3 fight. Holyfield had a genuine heart, breathing problem and was gasping for air, struggling to stay on his feat but still knocked down Bowe with a left hook. Heck Danny Williams with a dislocated shoulder carried on fighting and won. Infact Wilder tore his bicep against Areola and carried on fighting. What AJ did against Ruiz was just unforgivable and needs to affect his legacy going forward
Yes and anyone who says otherwise is a crybaby. Boxing is a mans sport. Ruiz outmanned him. Holyfield man....one of my idols growing up. Im British but wanted him to beat Lennox so bad just because of his guts and heart
