Ali fought two guys in 1967 but everyone says his exile ran from 1967-1970 don’t they?

I’m starting to think you are the dishonest one here. These Army three round amateur tournaments With soldiers are not official professional fights and here you are bandying them around again as some kind of official thing..my god fathers.. stop flogging the dead horse.

    I underlined the word professional.

The previous 2 bouts were part of the Second Inter-Allied
Championships, Professional Light Heavyweight Division; Charles
    won the competition

Yes, an amateur tournament open to professional boxers within the army fought under amateur conditions, three rounders as in the Olympics. I’ve been trying to find something on this inter allied games but I can find anything on it. Seems like a made up thing to entertain the troops. He fought two Americans in three rounders and won the whole thing? Dosnt sound like its very inter allied or professional does it? Did he get paid? Or was it Just entertainment?

It’s a bit like getting Vera Lynn to sing for the troops isn’t it? Right load of old pony if you ask me.

Nosher Powell said he beat Tami Mauriello in another inter allied thing but it never made much sense. Or made it onto their records.

You can see Liston trying his intimidation tactics in the photo and Rocky looking him right in the eye, no doubt Rocky was not intimidated and Liston for whatever reasons didn’t care for Marciano and liked to bust his balls until Rocky got pissed and they almost got physical. I spoke to Rocky’s younger brother Lou and he told me about the incident years ago. He said that Liston kept poking at him verbally saying he would have beat him and he could never have beaten him and Rocky was there to do an interview for some radio thing. Apparently he had spoken derogatory before about Rocky and he finally pissed him off and said ok let’s go and Listons people pulled him away. Even though Rocky was very out of shape and retired and well into his retirement he still had that competitive nature and balls.

A handsome uncommon photograph alot of you seem to think Rocky would get in the ring with Liston a silly thing to say especially if it's a retired warrior with a passion for momma's spaghetti he would be quite embarrassed the Ol Rock used to tease coming back to fight Charles to stay relevant all just silly sugar talk.
