Was p****ed when I read this. If he does pull through, and it sounds like he will, I hope he does the right thing and retires for good now. Will he even be able to get a license in the states now after an injury like this? I'm not sure.
Sounds like it was fake news/a misunderstanding and that he was just getting checked out. No coma or brain bleed. After a second verification Ill change the name of the thread.
Really shocking and upsetting to hear this. It sounds like it is not as bad as first thought. Thank God.
Didn't Zab train to be a nurse or something? Why's he still boxing? Glad he isn't seriously hurt, but the man's an idiot for getting back in the ring at his age and level of decline, and I'll have no sympathy for him if he continues after this.
There is no difference between getting punched in the head and banging your head against a wall. The brain doesn't know the difference. So getting punched in the head 300 times might as well be slamming your head against the wall 300 times. In fact, its even worse since often the head and the punch crash into each other adding even more force as just happened to AJ against Ruiz. Since the brain has nowhere to go, it slams into the bones of the skull at the opposing side of the punch.
