There were elevated levels found in ONE of the samples given which is vastly different to what you are describing. I suggest you learn the facts surrounding the case before slamming down the gavel.
As an athlete you keep track of all of the supps you take including keeping an unused container. Plus he conveniently retired in that time. Not bashing Fury as a fighter but there is no doubt some of his behaviour is questionable and he did nothing to help himself in that failed test. If I was clean I would not stop until my name was cleared fully. Including taking the supp provider to court and UKAD. Yoel Romero the UFC fighter just did the same thing and won $27m in damages and he has half the profile of fury. Fury turned everything into a media circus, retired and the miraculously reappeared in the time he would likely have been suspended anyway. It’s just suspicious to me that’s all. Especially considering he has confirmed he was taking coke around the same timeframe and was happy for his name to be muddied
I've read the case, they both had over 2 micrograms per liter of nandrolone in their urine (which is a massive amount) and served bans for it. They got off lightly because UKAD failed to follow their own procedures and terms of contract regarding how the fighters are informed. That was the controversy, not the results themselves, and was why the Fury's pursued legal action to try and get out if it. Bascially UKAD made a technical error and after a brief legal battle, both parties agreed to comprimise meaning that the Fury's had their bans backdated so they could fight on and UKAD weren't sued for botching the case. But the fact remains that both Tyson and Hughie Fury failed drug tests for nandrolone. And what was the reason for this? Because they were using nandrolone, that's why. In cases like this the most obvious answer is almost always the correct one.
He was busted for coke post Klitschko by VADA. Regarding the drugs ban, there was actually a media blackout as they had started legal proceedings against UKAD. You wont find a single interview where Mick, Peter, Hughie or Tyson even mention it or a single newspaper article about it. In fact, there is an interview where Peter specifically says he can't talk about it due to an ongoing legal case. The timing coincides with him signing with Frank Warren. Warren wanted him back in the ring ASAP and that is why he accepted a backdated ban and dropped the legal case. I would not be surprised if that's why him and Peter are no longer on speaking terms.
Doesn’t make much sense to me. You continue to clear your name. Hughie jumped back in the ring well before then. So unlikely that’s the reason. Got to question the morals of an athlete on cocaine though surely?
Fury's potential defence was that the elevated levels of nandrolone metabolites came from ingestion of offal of uncastrated wild boar or pig, or alternatively from contaminated supplements. Romero was able to identify that his failed test was due to a supplement that contained a banned substance, that was not a listed ingredient. It may be that things fell into place for Romero so that he was able to put a strong case together, or it may indeed be that Fury's claim is weak which is why he accepted the deal and did not pursue any further. The procedural errors by UKAD meant that the standard of proof was compromised, and that there was at least some burden on them to prove that the source of the nandrolone was a knowing and deliberate act. There were considerable risks involved for both sides in a formal dispute resolution, both financially and reputationally. Considering that both parties would have found it difficult to meet a high standard of proof to evidence their argument, the only sensible conclusion was to draw a line under it and move on. As the case didn't go through the level of scrutiny required for an independent assessment, we don't know for sure how well Fury's defence would have held up. We can take the view that the most likely explanation for the elevated levels of nandrolone was the deliberate ingestion of banned substances for an unfair competitive advantage; ie there is a very strong baseline chance that someone with elevated levels of prohibited substances is a doping cheat. However, it hasn't been conclusively proven that Fury deliberately took banned substances, and there will likely always be an element of doubt about the case.
No one cares about Fury failing one drugs test over 4 years ago ......... because no one generally cares much about things like that anyway ....... it has nothing to do with Fury's stories of mental health or whatever ...... people just don't give a toss about boxers testing positive for nandrolone before some fight they probably never even knew he had ! For an athlete to be considered in a "doping scandal" these days, there needs to be more to a story than "he used a steroid once" ...... there need to be conspiracies, world records, corruption, multiple substances, multiple fails, incredible muscle gain, crooked scientists, crooked Olympic teams.... etc. Stuff like that. No one gives a **** if some athlete just got caught with steroid in his sample one time ana coke one time. Or a missed test or two. It's almost a non-story. A headline for a day and no one cares after that. It's a fallacy that the public give a toss about stuff like this. Something Fury's critics create to make out he gets a pass.
OMG not again, go and count how many seeds are on a kilo of strawberries mate, im sure you will find that more interesting.
They are all at it, most athletes are. The ones who haven't pissed hot would be fewer on the list than the ones who have in the heavyweight division. AJ doesn't juice, he drinks milk and eats his porridge every day.
It was all over the media, just google it. Here is one article that goes into a bit more detail about the botch job UKAD did. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/boxing/...otched-case-cost-ukad-7-entire-annual-budget/ However, the results of the failed tests were never in question and were upheld. Most people are clueless about steroids, hence why they buy the excuses fighters come out with when they get caught. There is categorically, 100% no tainted meat or over the counter supplements that will elevate your nandrolone levels to what is needed to fail a drug test. Simply not possible. You have to have over 10 times the amount in your system to fail which you can only get by using steroids such as deca. Which is what Hughie and Tyson would have been doing. Of that there is no doubt.
