Come on mate, you are being silly now. its a mess (as it often is when Warren is involved) but on this occasion, it’s clearly not on his sides fault. They’ve signed their part of the deal and the Russian backers are having problems. Arum said in an interview that there is a meeting scheduled this week between Warren, Kathy Duva and the Russians and he will be mediating with the hope of getting something sorted. Let’s see what happens.
Frank and Tunde have both made statements in the public domain laying the blame squarely on Team Kovalev for the fight not materialising. Frank gave an IFL interview on the subject quite clearly stating that Yarde has signed the contract and agreed to everything. Why people are refusing to blame Kovalev I have no clue. It’s not even up for debate. The anti-Yarde brigade just can not cope with the fact that Yarde signed to fight Kovalev in his back garden.
But it was up for debate when Wilder’s team said they wouldn’t fight AJ until 2020 and his next 3 fights were sorted? Can’t have it both ways.
Lmfao Barry Hearn tweeted himself that AJ was right to turn down the Wilder fight and that it was best in 2020. He made that tweet after the Wilder-Fury fight. Who cares anyway, it’s got no relevance to Kovalev shitting it from Yarde.
You’re asking why it’s up debate but it was up for debate when wilder was ducking AJ. Look at Yardes competition so far, you can see why people are a bit sceptical and nothing proper official has come out. All I’ve seen is that they’re agreeing new terms so how is Kovalev shitting it?
