Lol after his ko defeat to Ruiz, he needs to pipe down to 60-40 or 50-50, again the split should change depending on how the rematch goes and how Wilder does against Ortiz, Fury
Wilder fought Fury and Ortiz in 2018. How were his purses $30 million between those two fights? 1. Wilder vs. Fury: "it was revealed that if the fight generated 1 million PPV buys, Wilder could make $14 million (£10.94 million) and Fury would earn around $10.25 million (£8 million). " -- If it did 1 million PPV Wilder would have taken home $14 million. Unfortunately it flopped and only did 350k. Wilder's guarantee was $4 million minimum. So it's safe to say he got somewhere between $4 million and $8 million. 2. Wilder vs. Ortiz: "The champion has been guaranteed a purse of $2.1 million to show Saturday" So that leaves us with $8 million plus $2 million = 10 million for 2018. Where do you get your $30 million from. Did Wilder have any other big fights in 2018 that I am missing?
I am guessing everyone submits their tax returns and payslips to Forbes. They hold the copies of the contracts of all athletes in the world and have access to the accounts of privately traded companies and offshore accounts held by the wealthy? Interesting...
Purse for Brezeale: "Deontay Wilder will pick up almost $10million for his heavyweight world title fight against Dominic Breazeale." So that also doesn't compute to $30 million.
1) Forbes reports gross earnings, not net, so your point about offshore bank accounts is nonsensical. Additionally, it includes contracts with promoters (e.g., Canelo's deal with DAZN) and they may have access about Wilder's arrangement with Showtime/PBC. In order to ink Wilder and prevent him from going to DAZN, they had to sweeten the pot for him somehow, right? 2) Why do you care? Your posts on this thread are childish, and you are embarrassing yourself. Wilder is paid beyond your wildest dreams, even if you dislike him as a fighter.
So around £23.5 million. what's the tax rate over there? I'm assuming he will pocket.. half of that? So say £12 million, then he has to pay Finkel and Haymon and the rest of his team.. now it depends if Finkel and Haymon get their percentage of the net of gross... errrrrrrr Let's be generous and say Wilder probably pocketed around.. £7million? Decent money but it shows how little he would have been earning before.
The first post says June 2018 to this month. That's the Fury and Breazeale fights. He was paid $20 million for the Breazeale fight, after he turned down DAZN.
