Vitali Klitschko had a very close relationship with the WBC, as well. I think Vitali is still Champion Emeritus. So did Mike Tyson. Same with Larry Holmes.

I believe Larry Holmes made 16 WBC title defenses ... and only made two mandatories.

The WBC appreciates guys who want to represent their organization. They work with them instead of making demands all the time.

You mean like how people finally came around to how good Vitali was only after he beat Lewis in the rematch, and beat Byrd in the rematch, and finally faced and beat Holyfield, Tyson, Rahman and Povetkin?

Giving guys soft touches because they smile while donning your piece of leather and metal isn't some upstanding model of work. I want to see the best fight the best in a timely fashion and these organizations hinder that.

Wilder has fought Ortiz and Fury. He's going to fight Ortiz and Fury again. Joshua just got knocked down four times and lost. Who is the "best" he isn't fighting? Andy Ruiz has been "one of the best" for about 12 days now.

    Wilder is doing fine.

Disagree with your assertions. And in the land of 4 titles, how many other belts has Wilder tried to acquire? And that opposition is toilet paper soft.

So, to me anyway, it is a lofty number just like the lofty number of first round ko's a guy like Shannon Briggs has.

Shannon Briggs stopped Sergei Liakhovich at about the 3:10-second mark of the 12th round and made zero successful defenses.

Wilder has made nine successful title defenses ... going for his 10th. And Wilder left Liakhovich quivering on the deck in about 90 seconds.

That's essentially the gulf between Wilder's career and Briggs' career.

I can tell you're going to be one of those "kickers and screamers."

I didn't see the video, but I guess I added to in terms of title defenses, and like I said put a big * on consecutive title defenses as Wilder lost that fight with Fury.

Honestly either Johnson, who was then ring ranked and undefeated or Gomez who was ranked 9th by ring magazine at the time could be in the conversation for best wins on Wilder's resume. Charr is a champion, Adamek ranked #3, far better than any rank Wilder has beaten, Peter was ranked #1, you left him out.

Vitali's resume is much better than Wilder's, no contest there. Wilder is a cherry picker, few champions can top him in that department.

A person defines his belt, not the organization it represents.

Wilder deserves to be a top ten fighter, but he hasn't beaten a top #5 ranked guy ever and has one win over a man in the top ten that could be considered near his prime.

Why he is facing a very old Ortiz next? He's king of the belt milkers.

Liakhovich might be the best win on Wilder's resume assuming he beat him. Foreman was better than anyone Wilder beat too. Lewis says Briggs was the best puncher he fought, which means Wilder wouldn't give him a match.

Wlad who is rather modest toward the press Ko'd Wilder with a jab and hook in a sparring session, which he said were not hard shots.

American amatuer heavyweights take notice. All you need to do is get a bronze medal, and have a good manager and you too can make serious money in boxing as a professional.

That's what they all say. The money offered was more than any other purse at the time for Valuev. He just did not want to take a beating.

No. Nicolay was offered a million dollars. As in one million dollars.

    Yeah, no. Not really.

Both beat Chris Arreola. Eric Molina knocked out Adamek. Szpilka beat Adamek and Jameel McCline (who Briggs couldn't handle). Duhaupas beat Charr. Chisora lost to Fury twice. Everyone has beaten Kevin Johnson. Luis Ortiz would knock out fellow Cubans Odlanier Solis and Juan Carlos Gomez on the same night. Gerald Washington was miles ahead of Albert Sosnowski.

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone Vitali beat who won a head-to-head contest against a Wilder opponent.

And Wilder's career is not over yet. He's going to blow past Vitali.

Deontay Wilder's reign is panning out a lot like another lanky k.o. artist type who held the WBC title and beat a lot of middling contenders in title defenses.

I think the guy's name was Foster.

Trying to knock wilders opposition while using vitali as the standard for respectable title reigns is laughable at best
