Fury doesn't need to be great ,he needs to be effective and he is at 6'9 . He hasn't met a aggressive guy with top notch skills yet who can reach him so hes lucked out a bit bc hes certainly vulnerable to the aggressive fighter who can set things up. these guys would be few in between so hes a handful for most. However theres a reason he was not favored over Wlad in the rematch, its bc what I said above. The farce of a fight hes doing on Sat. wont tell us anything either, though he seems to think shwartz is like Ruiz and if no one can defeat them ,they should retire ,so.... No one said fury was bright but you cant really say much to criticize his ability that's there , the real question is can HE fix stupid and box for real from here on in and leave the circus acts in ring alone now ? That's a big ask ,I know. lol
I met Fury Dec 2 last year on Rodeo Drive , he’s def not 6’9 . I’m 6’6 and there’s no way he had 3 inch on me . And btw he does not look anything like a pro athlete.
I’ve never seen a fighter get more mileage out of a victory over a waaaay past prime champion (in what has been deemed one of the worst fights in Heavyweight history) and a draw with a much discredited champion who’s deemed a one trick pony. If Fury is a great boxer then Buster Douglas is a ATG with his definitive victory over Tyson.
