I know there’s a thread about the weekend’s fight already but just seen the press conference and have to say Dom Ingle played a blinder. He really does fight his man’s corner and take a chunk of the pressure and focus off his fighter. I’m aware he did the same thing at the press conference prior to Brook-Spence with some heated exchanges with Derrick James and it didn’t mean much in the actual fight but I’m sure his role in fight week in front of the cameras plays a part in making his fighter as comfortable as possible before the fight. So much more pumped for the fight after seeing that press conference. Impressed by how relaxed Galahad seems, I really do think he will shock a few people. Also John Rawling, what a ****.
watching Dom having to try and explain 90% was funny... he made a slip up there. We all know where that extra 10% went !
We all know what goes on in that gym but the pair of them made a good point when they said Warrington and his team would never say drug cheats should be banned for life when they are sat on stage alongside Tyson Fury and Billy Joe Saunders. It’s why I think Rawling has acted like a complete wanker throughout this promotion.
i seen that as another slip up by Galahad, as there has been controversy in whether they cheated..... Galahad runs in the same circles as them and basically confirmed they are cheats also! Doh!
The thing is we just have no idea if Galahad's he/his style is effective against higher level opponents.
You got to respect Dominic 'I love Roids' Ingle Every interview he does, he is musters all of his strength and will to suppress the roid rage! Any moment you're just waiting for him to scream '''ARRGGGHHHHHHH!!! Time stamped when he's about to lose it! This content is protected
A year ago nobody gave Warrington a chance against Selby as he was yet to fight a truly decent opponent, it's the same for Galahad, although Warrington fought a drained and on his way out Selby. It could go either way quite easily, Warrington looks a classy operator with a great engine but I think he'll be tested, I don't think the build up has gone exactly to plan for him either.
The media made a big point of the hostile atmosphere, but at the first presser him asking the first mouth-piece to come down and have a chat with him seemed to kill that.
Yep. One massive difference I’ve noticed already is that at the Selby-Warrington press conferences the Leeds fans were vociferous and heckling in numbers. At these Galahad press conferences there is very little heckling and hostility, just one or two people shouting out at times. I guess that’s the difference between a mild mannered, weak looking trainer in Sanigar and an aggressive, loud muscle head in Ingle. I know which one I would rather have in my corner if I was a boxer.
I get what you're saying but Sanigar was a genuine fighting man in his day. Not like Dom whose main interest has always been in aesthetics. He talks a lot but what happens if things really get on top. Loudest in the room n all that..
Odds would be a shade closer if the fight wasn't in Leeds and Warrington highly likely to just win on points with zero ko power.
