Yes but he completely lost his head and got careless. He's usually a very good finisher.

He's going to get knocked out again if it happens. Ruiz' style is all wrong for Joshua as proven already.

was going to start a new thread but think there is enough on this. What really is getting on my tits right now is everyone and their uncle saying AJ isn't a fighter because he has muscles, "just because you look the part doesn't make you a fighter with heart". I'm not even a big fan of AJs and believe he is likely to lose again but the accusation that he isn't a real fighter because he has a decent physique is ridiculous.

Especially when he has in fact shown he is a fighter, there is actual proof, nearly getting knocked out but Wlad and gritting out that win. Its beyond insulting really. Say the man fought a bad fight, or he was outmatched, he had nothing left, but why add "he is not a fighter"?

A fighter can have a bad night but AJ is getting no break on this by a lot of people, despite similar things happening to other fighters (with not such impressive physiques but I guess thats ok then). I despise Hearn and matchroom, but I almost would like to see AJ shut these people up, a lot of assumptions are being made unnecessarily about the mans character, at least let him try to redeem himself...

I think Tyson Fury hit the nail on the head, he has already quit once and will do it again, it will be Price/Thompson Haye/Bellew 2 all over again.

If AJ was able to get up 4 times from knock downs after him being careless and suffering a concussion from that wild temple punch by Ruiz, imagine how he'll do rematch, when it'll be less likely he'll be careless. Imagine how he would be able to take Ruiz's same punches (sans that wild temple shot) that knocked him down the other 3 times. The clean shots or counter punches that will hit AJ, will be shots he'll take that won't be impacted by a concussion or extreme carelessness, so it would be a completely different fight.

People that are beat down, dropped multiple times then stopped in the first fight generally don't win rematches. Joshua had absolutely no answer for Andy's handspeed, countering, and forward progress and his chin and durability failed him. He has a lot to work on to even potentially sniff a win.
