Don't get caught with the nonsense. Anyone that thinks that highly of Norris has an agenda. Or could be Terry Norris himself using an alias.
Terry Norris was a phenom. A real gem that burned bright and fast. At his peak he was lethal and a match against anyone. Speed kills, he had all that was needed and more to add to it. But he was a glass cannon, and also a candle burning at both ends. He was not meant to last, and he will always remain an enigma.
He didn't stop Simon Brown. He played it safe all night clearly worried that Simon would land his almighty, erm, jab on his, erm, nose, He was good, was Norris, but he had a glass nose.
Duran and Cervantes were big wins. And the Hearns fight well he lost to Hearns in what most people here think is Hearns best division. Yeah Hearns and Ray were the only guys to beat Benitez in his prime and best weights. Not bad to lose to those guys. Terry's win over Ray is not a great win. Ray was diminished. You talk as though he beat a 1981 Leonard. It was 1991. The problem with that list including Ray is they were all worn out when they fought Terry.
Very fast but fragile .big punch power too.would of been great to rematch Jackson.Has a chance of beaten most fighters in history at his weight but could also get sparked.
Yes, I seem to remember this dude from a few years back. His schtick was more related to dissing Leonard. Praising Terry was just his method.
i read what you said, so what? Leonard's been on much longer layoffs and succeeded. Remember the Hagler fight? I didnt see any dropoff and won his previous fight taking all 12 rounds by boxing, and moving but you act like it wasnt a fair fight If any disadvantages are to be noted, they would be against Terry and to be quite honest, I had no problem finding people to bet against you just have to know strengths and weakness and while leonard didnt have any real weakness, I just knew that the speed of Norris was uncopeable (a new word) but cheer up! Leonard did much better than 90% of Terry's opposition and in my mind, that makes him great
You think I'm Terry Norris? Really? ive been at ESB for years and give due credit to all fighters from all decades. Terry didnt even follow the sport!
i want to know why you think dropping a lopsided decision to Hearns outweighs 10 title defenses that Norris made
it may not be bad to lose to those guys but its not something to brag about either! You know what IS something to brag about? beating the guy in lopsided fashion that beat YOU in lopsided fashion! but you never thought of that DID YOU? and as for beating a 1991 Leonard consider this; Leonard beat a 1980 Roberto Duran, 13 years into the professional ranks but you still give him credit for it! and how many years was Ray a professional in 91?
Lol. Rooster's Norris OCD resurfaces. Norris was very good. What kept him from being great were an average defense, a below average chin and a tendency to brawl when he didn't need to.
