Round 2 Mavidis is leaning to his left and spanking Findley's starboard flank with a low-slung double hook, then firing straight rights up top. Findley attempts to slip jabs with some elastic upper body movement, but Mavidis' hands are quicker (and more adaptable) than his dance moves defensively. Findley is shipping major shots, downstairs & up. Findley hanging in there, hurling an overhand right past the jab, but not quite reaching, at least going for it. Round 3 Mavidis is nailing Findley with the straight right lead, using it like a jab to establish range and set up the rest of his offense. Findley's head getting snapped back every few seconds, chin jutting up skyward involuntarily. Findley is loading up on big uppercuts jumping in and Mavidis is axing down on him with punitive counters. Findley's nose gets smashed by a check hook as he lurches inside and ends up having to clinch. Findley getting peppered on the ropes, fending Mavidis off with arm-punch flurries. Very sluggish movements by the old man in there, looking every bit the 60 fight veteran...a hard-used-and-put-away-wet 35 years old. Findley tossing overhand rights, chewing oxygen as Mavidis coasts in reverse until his spine bounces gently off the ropes, at which point they exchange body combos, Mavidis getting the best of it with his muchheavier & quicker hands. 10-9 Mavidis 30-27 Mavidis
Round 4 Mavidis is perfectly content to let Findley walk forward, just sliding his feet back and setting up counters with either hand, to body & head. Findley is marching in, determined, soaking up shots and displaying his toughness & mental fortitude, but still not landing much of consequence. Too slow. Mavidis is able to pull the rug out from under him and deny him a target with very economical, unhurried adjustments to his footing. Mavidis reaches in and nudges Findley on the cheek with a light right hand, then ducks a Findley left hook while scoring his own, and finishes the sequence with a hard pool-cue right hand that snaps Findley's head back. Findley bashes up top with a huge right hand, but all it does it thunk against Mavidis' guard. 10-9 Mavidis 40-36 Mavidis

Round 5 Mavidis is roping out a 1-2 as he backs up, pressured constantly by Findley who is now hunching forth and looping a right hand into the body or crashing up high with it. Mavidis when he is sat against the middle rope doesn't have much leverage, just slapping at the sides of Findley's head ineffectively. Mavidis seems to be taking a frame off now as he circles past Findley to get clear and paws out some jabs. Findley is leaning over to his right, head below his waist, getting under Mavidis' flurries, and continuing to pressure with jabs and looping shots on the body and overhand rights bursting through his guard. 10-9 Findley 49-46 Mavidis
Round 6 Mavidis is now staying Findley's advance with a lancing right hand downstairs, and popping out jabs in multiples while inching his way around the perimeter. Findley not getting close now. Mavidis in total control with the jab, but also not landing the kind of big counters he was in the first half anymore, just tactically dictating range with his footwork & jab. Findley taking some big swipes on the way in, powerful hooks that leave him spun around or at most brush harmlessly against Mavidis' forearms. 10-9 Mavidis 59-55 Mavidis

Round 7 Mavidis is scoring 3-4 jabs and then a right cross before taking a step back. Findley just watches and waits for an opening, and, not receiving one, takes matters into his own hands barging in with a line drive right as Mavidis is creating space to reset...blocked. Mavidis is throwing quick hooks at the head but Findley is ducking low again, staying beneath his shots' cruising altitude. Findley gets in a sneaky overhand right diving in headfirst. Mavidis backing up and tattooing Findley's grill with the jab. They wade into a clinch, both landing with meaty body shots. Findley suddenly explodes with a power combo, ripping a left hook and right hand up top and forcing Mavidis to back up. Counter left hook on the jaw by Mavidis, stings Findley. A couple of chopping overhand rights by Findley, caught on the fists as Mavidis backs up. 10-9 Mavidis, close 69-64 Mavidis
