Corrie Sanders has more heart than all of them. He stepped in at short notice to fight Wlad The Destroyer and toppled him. He then took on Vitali and fought until he was a dead man walking. Then he died taking a bullet, shielding his family.

i tihnk saving his family easily and massively beats being a stand in when retired or even his whole boxing career.

I am not sure the thread is about heart outside boxing though, but well played, I'd in that case include the many who fought in world war 1.

David Haye definitely has heart... he just has the worst excuses ever.

No one on this forum would fight with a torn achilles heal so you can all stfu up right now.

Anyone here had that injury before? Did it feel okay? No I didn't think so.

i dont think he knew he had a torn achilles until he was falling over repeatedly. He likely just thought till then he was queasy.

I thought Shannon could have won more than one heavyweight title...it's just that (imo) he was active during a (rare since the 70s) time when there were some excellent heavyweights around. Had the field been more sparse I think he would have dominated more.

I know one thing, it took one hell of a shot to truly shake Briggs. He took some seriously cringe-inducing bombs. He was a real good puncher, too.

Fury definitely has a lot of heart.Have you taken a close look at the suit Fury has worn to press conferences this week? Very interesting to say the least. I think he should put it up for auction after his fight with Schwartz.

Come on Herol, the achilles heal is the strongest tendon in the human body, that snapping is like a steel cable holding a suspension bridge snapping. It coils up your leg at great velocity, and splatters into spaghettii. You'd definitely know it was serious.

Boxers tear rotator cuffs, and quit on their stool. He is a true warrior, and only those who have injured achilles in sports will know just how devastating that pain is...

And he fought on several times!!!! I take my hat off and leave it on the floor and walk away.

Just what we needed - more theoretical debate about fighters who have retired measuring something which can't really be measured.

i just dont think it'd tear completely initially and in the heat of the action, you'd not be able to diagnose yourself straight off.
