Why didn't Deontay Wilder go for body shots against Tyson Fury on December 1st?

I think Deontay was shocked that every time he opened up with his own jab he got jabbed by Furys jab. That threw him off whatever he had planned (if anything).

He doesn't know how to throw one.

He couldn't get in range to throw them for one, but for two I think it simply never entered his mind. He's all about that big immediate KO, and bodyshots are an accumulative thing.

    Body shots ? GTFOH.

Wilder has primal instincts, he always goes for the face like a chimp.

A shame really. Wilder could have an awesome straight right hand to the body.

It's still better then Ward, who's instinct is to go for the balls

But that's the issue with Wilder. He never took that boxing 101 class.

Wrong. He hurt Brezeale with a left to the body.

Wilder landed some counter jabs also, Fury hesitated when throwing the jab, he threw more than Wilder but not that many.

You can't hit what you can't catch. Fury moved a lot in the fight, Wilder's never fought anyone with the feet and movement of fury before, there is a reason he was mostly punching the air for most of the fight

Wilders throws body shots in the clinch and the occasional jab but as for throwing hard body shots ? No.

If Wilder doesn't know anything about setting up shots, then how come has he scored 40 freaking KO's?
How did he knock Fury down twice?

Wilder knows perfectly well how to set up that right hand. The problem is that it's all he knows

Don’t think I have ever seen him even attempt a shot to the body. Jab, right hand, rinse, repeat. That’s more Wilder.
