Ah. Gotcha. Thanks. Sorry for assuming otherwise. Though I wonder whats the point of that. I'd venture to think the majority scored that fight for Canelo. I would think the post you were responding to was referring to the first fight. But I digress. Sorry for the misunderstanding on my end.
What sucks is that this type of corruption is so normalized in boxing it doesn't even really bother me or most boxing fans. It's just part of the sport.
Footwork and jab are the most important skills a boxer should have, only casuals would deny that. As for Alvarez neither his jab nor his footwork is elite. He is simply not skilled enough to be p4p #1. But I know, he has the resume... partly thanks to judges paid by Oscar Lomachenko and Crawford are clearly more skilled than Alvarez, they don't have the resume because they are no cash cows, so not everybody wants to fight them.
I would say that a number of fighters are more skilled than Canelo: Lomachenko, Crawford, Usyk, Inoue and man that got robbed twice, GGG.
Sensitive ass fans. If it's 2 a close fight there is no corruption. You seriously needd to watch more boxing. Youtube boxing robberies. Learn something.
fair enough, since he rules 2 divisions. but there is also a good case for Crawford and also chasing would 2Slyk and Loma.
Canelo is p4p no. 1 because he officially (i thought he lost both fights though) beat the p4p no. 1. He has the biggest win of them all by far. Skillwise Loma is better, but when we are discussing p4p, we are discussing resume i believe.
Just because those 2 fights weren't the 2 biggest robberies in boxing history doesn't stop them from being robberies.
So you are telling me, a mexican sports channel would go against its "national hero"..... ok buddy, much like sky sports went against AJ.. Oh wait.
