Warrington clearly won the fight. There's no way in a million years you can score enough rounds for Galahad when all he did was clinch all the time and hardly land anything. The commentators were terrible. Without the commentary if I'd have had it on mute I would have been CERTAIN it was a Warrington win I would have just turned the TV off without even checking the result Warrington was the one who wanted it more. Galahad was scared to fight like a man, holding all the time. The ref should've deducted points or DQ'd him. Warrington lacks power, but Galahad is even more feather fisted!! Galahad was nowhere near busy enough. Warringtons flurries and volume was enough to win most of the rounds, and Warrington landed the better and heavier punches throughout. The crowd was quiet because it was a boring as **** fight, It was nothing to do with what Galahad was doing, which wasn't much! Galahad showed good footwork, and awkwardness but there was zero substance!! There's no way in a million years you can give the challenger the rounds by doing what he did in a world title fight against the champion.
Galahad is ****ed now. Nobody will want to match him with their fighter now. Will have to get back in the mando spot which will take ages.
Warrington punched fresh air all night and was gifted a hometown decision. He's acted a prize c0ck in the build-up but at least showed some humility after.
Warrington won 8-4 on my card. Pretty easy win. Very boring to watch. Amazed to see a few people saying Galahad won. Galahad just spoiled, how can you win a fight by just spoiling?
Galahad has been in the shadows of Frampton, Quigg, Selby, Warrington for years, talking **** . And THIS was all he could muster up in the biggest night of his life lol. Pathetic performance and he should have been DQ'd. With a proper ref that would have allowed a fight Josh wouldve probably have got a rare KO win as Galahad couldn't handle his volume and clinched non stop. Time for Galahad to finally get a girlfriend and a social life, as despite dedicating his whole life to boxing, he isn't world level. The other world champions would beat him with ease.
Indeed mate. What's more worrying is come the last couple of rounds Warrington was still huge favourite with the bookies, with in play betting.
I noticed this, even after the first 6 Warringtons odds had barely shifted. I was tempted to lay it off as I suspected something fishy but chose to believe in what I was seeing. Didn't work out.
My mate messaged me that after round 9 which flummoxed me. At that point Galahad was miles ahead on my card. Newish posters are coming on criticising people for scoring the fight to Galahad but we know how to score a fight. I cheered the little successes Warrington had, I desperately wanted him to perform to the standard he can. My wife stayed up with me to watch it as I promised her that she’d enjoy Warrington’s style. He got outboxed for the majority of that fight though. It’s gutting and I don’t like how I feel about it cos I wanted Galahad to lose, but legitimately...not jobbed on the cards like that.
100% agree m8. It's totally how I feel. Everyone knows Warringtons main strengths are his engine, speed and work rate. All of which was nulified most of the fight, simply because Galahad offset those qualities.
I didn’t watch with commentary but a lot of social media feeling that Galahad was robbed which is interesting.
