Just look at Christian Levandowskis knockouts. Then look how little effect it had on Schwarz... Then look what Fury did to Schwarz... Power is underrated.
How does he have to prove himself as number one you idiot. By what being ranked number 1 by ring magazine or impressing some guys on a boxing forum? By beating klitschko and wildet or keeping some guys on a forum happy. Your the one calling other peope a moron but your saying the number 1 ranked heavyweight in the world has to prove himself, didnt he already do that against klitschko and wilder to gain his number 1 ranking. He isnt number 1 of a sanctioning body. He is the number 1 ranked heavyweight. Why dont you apply to work for ring magazine or something you clearly know your ****. More than anyone ive ever met
Great performance by Fury. He did EXACTLY what youre supposed to do vs a D level opponent. He showed how far ahead of Shwartz he was and more importantly looked better against a palooka than he did in his first two fights. TF looks like hes back to his peak form and I hope he fights a legit top 10 guy in Sept/Oct.
What's written down on a piece of paper is worthless when coin has passed hands and politics are involved. It is well known and established that Ring Magazine, have accepted bribes in the past to increase publicity and boost sales on behalf of promoters and tv networks. Bob Arum is no fool. He sees Fury as a very marketable fighter. He will stop at nothing in making sure his investment is given ample publicity and hype which is why he's shouting from the rooftops incredulous twaddle, such as Fury is better than Foreman and Ali through demonstration of last nights performance. Outside of Wlad and Wilder, the latter who he did not beat and the former which should have been ruled NC, he has fought no one worth of note and even then should have a lost on his record after being comprehensively beaten by the journeyman James Mcdermot. It's an interesting reasoning you use to assume we should have blind faith in ranking system, yet fury fans are not keen to have faith in Judges scorecards which are by all accounts done by experts in the field. You wish to selectively pick and choose certain things when it comes to Fury, blotting out all the things which balance out the one sided agenda driven bias.
Fury moves phenominally well for someone his size. Quick hands good D. He is very unique. I can't say I have seen one like him in the past 40yrs. And of course the singing ... I used to despise him a bit but he is growing on me.
HW division is like a chameleon. We Fight fans know how to call the HW division stinky, stanky, stankin' & at the same time claim there are credible HW's to face.
Well the top 4 is now top 5 but styles makes fights. Fury - Wilder = 60/40 - fury already beat him. Joshua - Wilder = 30/70 - could be closer but I think wilder will land first and Joshua won’t take it, if Joshua lands on wilder, wilder may takenit. Joshua - fury = 60/40 - Joshua is a good inside pressure fighter, he’ll cut off fury and break him down, I could be massively wrong on this though. Joshua - Ruiz = 60/40 - Joshua a favourite in rematch for a reason. Ruiz - wilder = 50/50 - wilder doesn’t have the skills to keep him off, it’s a banging contest. Fury - Ruiz = 90/10 - fury dances all over him all day every day
In his last fight he beat the hardest punching heavyweight in the division in his back yard, 3 fights before that he beat a unified heavyweight champion unbeaten in a decade with 20+ title defences... why are people forgetting this and acting like hes only fighting bums.
Agree with this. We all know that Fury has the skills. Showcasing them against Schwartz isn't making any sort of statement. Schwartz is a Wilder bum-o-de-month candidate.
Fury doesn't only fight bums and I agree that he's allowed soft touches. However, I'm not going to wax lyrical about his beating them either.
Absolutely correct. His opposition tonight was nothing to write home about but he has more than proven himself with his last performance and will likely do so again when they fight for the second time.
Schwarz is no bum. Better than the likes of Gerald Washington in my opinion, and he is definitely in Wilder's top 5.
